dont know about the absorption for you but I am still pre-op and i use estroven products. Worth a shot.

I didn't take HRT and i have learned to deal with it.. I am 43 and had a hysterectomy at 36 so i have been at it for a while... when it starts cool your neck... that is where mine feel like they start.... Iam so sorry to say that you are stuck with it... i tried soy, black co hash and all before DS and it screwed with my tummy so i am really scared to use it now.. good luck!

Denise,

I had a partial hysterectomy when I was 32. These are the first 'symptoms' I've had....no warning (no periods!).

I will try to figure out how to keep a cool cloth next to my bed (a tiny cooler w/ ice??). You're so right about it starting with my neck!! Seems to travel from there! LOL!

They have these thing that are full of gel and you freeze them and they stay cool for a long time. i have used them for camping and they really work on both!! Good Luck

Aww Julie..I'm so sorry! If it helps any, I'm right behind ya! LOL. I think its going to happen for me any day now. My doc says its another YMMV thing. There's not one thing that works for everyone and we all probably will end up taking something different. Hang in there...you'll find your groove!

((HUGS)) for sure ! I had a total hysterectomy years ago. Have been on a ton of different items, including all those listed above and so many more I would have to find my list. Do remember hormones have a ton to do with bone health ! The endo I went to once I was in full blown osteo had a MAJOR I was not on hormone supplements ! Then a few months later the sex drive plummeted.. BOO... working with my other doc.. several meds later, I might have found one. She did a bunch of blood work checking where my hormones were actually at, or more precisely where they WHERE NOT at ! I am on a combo of estrogen and testoterone and the ole sex drive is a returning ! DH is quite happy !

It really takes a dedicated doc to help you figure this out.

In the meantime.. try a fan at night as well as a cool clothe.
