Hi Ms. Toya, I don't have an answer to your question as I'm kind of wondering about that myself. I too have BCBSIL and have been denied the DS so far and told that it is excluded. What stage are you at in your process? Have you requested coverage yet? I'd be interested to know since we are in sort of in the same boat right now. It would be interesting to compare notes and use each other's information against BCBSIL to get it covered! Stacy

Hey Stacy. Well to tell you the truth, you should check out my profile. I haven't gotten reallly far. I am so dead set on beating this 12 month diet thing that I don't know what to do with myself. I haven't requested coverage as of yet. The only time I spoke to BCBS was to ask if it was indeed covered. Of course she gave me the information to look it up one the website and the DS is considered experimental. Now that was last year when I looked it up. It may have changed since then. So tht is 2 fights I have to deal with; 12 month supervised dieting as well as the experimental crap! Keep in touch with me via email and let me know what happens: [email protected]
