Surgery postponed - WAH!!!
Yay and YIPPEE!! Now you can go get sliced and diced with no fear of your ticker giving you an unpleasant surprise. Fear of the unknown is usually worse than knowing the facts.
We'll be cheering for you! And don't forget the aloe diaper wipers for your bowel prep -- NO TOILET PAPER after the mag citrate or you will be begging for anesthesia before you get to the hospital!

I had a similar thing happen...
My pre-op stress test was borderline, passed my PCP and everything was fine until I went in for my pre-op two days before surgery.
Dr. Jossart looked at the test, said he wasn't operating with that finding and dragged me down the hall to a cardiologist that was on the same floor (an advantage of being in a major medical center). Needless to say I was freaking out...besides wanting the surgery, my mother died from complications of heart disease.
He was wonderful...kept me on the OR schedule pending, convinced the cardiologist to see me on her lunch hour, and had his staff get my PCP to issue an emergency insurance approval.
They scheduled an emergency stress echocardiogram the next morning (which necessitated another drive into from Santa Rosa to San Francisco during rush hour...2.5 hours while fasting).
Luckily I passed the test, had the comfort of knowing I had no heart disease...the finding from the local docs was a false positive. Surgery went as scheduled the next day and all went well.
There are sometimes bumps in the road to what we want, but they seem to happen for a reason.
Hopefully you will do well, figure out what is going on and proceed with your surgery and recovery soon.
Best to you, Jo
