Could you pass one of that "extra" approval on to me? Or perhaps you could list it on eBay! Seriously, as I said before, GOOD insurance stories warm my heart ... and Setember 20 is less than a month away!!!! YAY!!! I'm so happy for you. Wow! That's not far off at all. Congratulations. If you login here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/newauthenter.phtml and scroll down the page and look in the center column, you will see "I've Got A Date!" - click on that and you can officially fill in your information about your surgery and date. How cool! I remember how unreal it felt for me the day I got my approval. I was on Cloud 9. Hell, I was on Cloud 99999! lol Is your DS open or lap? We can be surgery buddies if you'd like. =) There is a forum on this site for surgery dates... I posted once or twice on the September 2005 surgery support page, but I haven't in a while. I will post there soon though, as it is getting close for me! (My date is September 22, with Dr. Maguire, in Kettering, Ohio) Some advice: Even though I have been on the edge of my seat these past three months (ever since I got my date) I decided back in June to really 'enjoy' this time of my life. It may sound weird, but instead of wishing for my surgery date to just hurry up and get here, I have been taking it slow, and trying to be thankful for everything. I don't want to sound morose, but I have also been thinking of all the negative possible outcomes I could experience. I want to be as prepared as possible. I'm not focusing on them, but I am aware of them. Pinch away now, because in time this feeling grows faint. If I may, I would like to compare the wls journey to a big meal with several courses. (LOL! I know, not the best analogy, but I couldn't think of anything else!) Anyway, with the meal, each course is splendid, but they do end. And as sad as that may be, they end in order to make room on the table for the next course, which may be even more wonderful than the last. Okay, so that's my reasoning behind trying to enjoy this time. Because I will only ever be able to have this 'appetizer' one time in my entire life! Devouring my cheese sticks, Amanda ;o)
