Oops I reversed my numbers. It's the 21st. It was originally to be the 12th but I changed docs and hospitals... When is your surgery?

I am in the same boat...scoot over buddy. I am very nervous! I have to do the usual things like 6 months supervised weighloss stuff, sleep study, blood work and of course the phych eval. Which I have in 2 weeks.
So do we just write here or send messages thru our mail boxes?

awsome i am getting so nervice, i dont know what the rules are down there but i can tell u what i am going to go threw up here in pa. I have state insurance and they will only pay for the lapband. i can be a great support im always home lol.
i know that it is along process. i dont know much about the gastric what i do know is not good and i will not talk about it. unless u ask.

would love to find someone just starting out on there journey also. I have over 200 pds to loose and the thought of having a life changing buddy is exciting. I keep seeing messages saying people feel alone trying to make all the changes, since there friends and family didn't have the surgery, so I would like to cover that part before it ever happens

I am scheduled for VSG on 7/28 and I am thrilled! My husband will be banded about a month after I have my sleeve. We have a wonderful 2 year old and decided that we wanted to be healthy for him and one another. We are very excited.
I am a psychotherapist in Florida, and like several of you mentioned, am very busy, but I appreciate the value of peer support. There is really nothing like sharing with people who are in your same boat.
I started my pre-op yesterday and was tickled tonight when the scale showed 6 lbs down.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

You took the words right out of my mouth!!!!!, Im Carla and I had RNY revision almost 10 years ago and hve lost 150 pounds. I struggle keeping it off but have suseeded...... I am 137 now. My highest was 285 in 1999.
I did have about with thyroid cancer and gained back 30 pounds and now have lost the regain and some friends with it!!!!!.
