Hi Kim!
Of course you can join our group! We know you'll step up to a Harley, and trade in your rice-burner sometime!
I wish I could go to Daytona, or Myrtle Beach for bike week this year, but having been out of work for the past 3 weeks, (and with 3 more weeks to go before going back there) money will be tight. Plus, I'm saving up to get up to Sturgis again. This year will be better since I had the surgery on Jan. 31st. Of course I'm still not ready to go topless, but at least the ride will be easier without so much extra weight on the back.
Keep on riding! It's so much fun! I wish I had learned to ride sooner.

I don't ride a harley (Yamaha V-Star Custom '05) but know one wants to play on the motorcycle board. I just love motorcylces and talking about them and about bike week and different events that people have gone on. My husband and I can't wait for the upcoming daytona bike week. It's so much fun. This year I'll be on my own rather than on the back of my husband. Any one think they'll make it there this year?
Topic: RE: Chili Feed
Congrats on the chili feed and the weight loss. Hope you are able to be back in the wind one day.
Topic: Chili Feed
Our Chapter (Buffalo Ridge) A.B.A.T.E. of MN had there chili feed
Boy did I want to pig out...
But did good, had to taste some cuz I made it and wanted to know where it sat in taste...
Was good, and had a lot of people say they loved it. We keep on growing for this, last year we had over 300, and went thru 9 big roasters. This year we had over 500 and went thru 12 roaster. I think we will have to go to 15 next year to be on the safe side... Got to say for not being able to eat and I don't drink (havent' for years) it went really good. A lot of bikes where out in the day time, which is mostly unheard of at this time of year but we have been getting some unreal weather this winter. Hope all are doing good... I'm down 48# since 5 Jan.'05 and feeling really good.
Later...
Topic: RE: So Roger , how did it go?
The lab work, the EKG and the x-rays are a cruise.
The psych eval was something that I was a little concerned about before-hand, being rather type-A. The fellow was quite nice and easy to talk to, and spent the hour and a half asking questions related to whether I knew what I was getting into, if I had much of a handle on what got me here in the first place, and what will be difficult to face afterwards.
It's interesting that you are doing the questionaire beforehand. I did mine right during the appointment. It was some specific standardized test and had about 160 questions.
