Topic: RE: So Roger , how did it go?
Initial consult finally over......after pigging out for almost a month now.....I have LOST 5.5 pounds. Met with the medical DR and the dietitian. Both were very nice. The doc said he didn't think it would be any problem, I was freaking because my BMI is now 39.4 He said even tho I didn't have documented co-morbidities, just the things he could document, swollen ankles, etc would be enough to put me into the OK category.
So, now I need my lab work, chest x-ray, EKG, and psych consult done so we can send off for insurance approval. My first psych appointment is on 2-14 to do the questionnaire, then see the shrink on 3-3. And back with the dietitian on 3-9, need to keep a food diary until then. Of course now they want me to start eating better and lose a few pounds, LOL, now I will probably gain.

I answered this earlier and it never showed up.......
It went pretty well.
I have a date. Monday 3/28/05 at 5:15am.
It isn't as soon as I thought it might be, but it fits into
the scheme of things.
He does want me to lose a little before the surgery, so
I'll be doing protein liquids for the next six weeks. Not
a real big deal to me. I'm just happy to have a date.
Is your appointment on the 9th with a surgeon?

Topic: RE: Hello Everyone
up......down........let go of ears.......are we still talking about the Harley? LOL
Topic: RE: Hello Everyone
Shifting isn't all that hard.
Up, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down......
Losing count is a little embarassing though.
'Specially when the wife says "thought you had a six speed, eh?"
So I tell her to let go of my ears or I'll do it again!
Topic: RE: Hello Everyone
That's what he says. Personally I like being the passenger........Have an unnatural fear of shifting gears, LOL. Guess if I can shift the gears of my life with this surgery I can learn to change gears on a Harley
Topic: Hello Everyone
How are you HD riders doing in the dead of winter????
I told hubby the other day if ...NO....when I have this surgery and lose a bunch of weight he won't need to get a bigger bike. He's 5'8 160lbs. We have to adjust the springs on our 1200 custom every time I ride with him.
He said if I can get a new body he can get a new Harley..........sounds like a
to me.
Topic: Any Long Island WLS riders?
Just got my date. Feb. 1st, 2005. Oh boy, I'm starting to get nervous.
What I hate is that I stopped riding because I felt to fat to ride.
This surgery is for my health and the benefit is that I will ride again with confidence.
Anyone else feel this way?
