I eat the same thing for awhile and then I get really bored and switch.  Lately, I've been having those small containers of Breakstone cottage cheese with the individual cups of Chi-Chi's salsa and a cup of peaches or manadrin oranges.  (I love mini containers of things.)  sOMETIMES i ADD A 100 CAL BAG OF CHEESE NIPS OR WHEAT THINS.

This morning I bought some Oscar Mayer lunchables (turkey and cheese with crackers) and some of those blue mini lunchables, just for a change.

To pamper myself...sorry..don't know what that is...I have done nothing...maybe tomorrow I will sit with my feet up after Church and sip on a glass of red wine and just chill out...but for now I am taking care of my kids and their needs.

You know, I just went back to subbing at the schools here and am packing a lunch and snacks for those days.  I can't see paying $4 for a "healthy" school hot lunch...  I don't eat half the stuff on the tray anyway!  But, I find that it is hard to pack something really good for us when doing this.  I am thankful for stuff like Kay's Naturals and those Dr. Kracker snacks that I just found.  But, I wish there were better packed lunch options for us postops.  I never know whether I'll have access to a fridge or a microwave, so generally go with a lunch cooler and a non-heated choice just so I am safe either way.  But, many of the foods I pick for my lunchbox seem to be things that make me "munchy" later on and I know that there has to be a better way!  Maybe you can drop me a note with some of your lunch ideas!!
Hugs,
Lea

Man Oh Man, do I remember that feeling!  Back in February, I was one leg of a full marathon relay in Myrtle Beach (5 of us completed 26.2 miles--4 walked 5 miles even and the 5th walked 6.2 miles).  I was so nervous leading up to the event.  I was not really sure I could do it.  I'd done 3 miles before.  I'd done 4 miles before (just the week prior to the event), but i was still unsure of myself and my ability.  Guess it was all those years of being obese and having to sit out on stuff...  But, I walked the 4th leg (5 miles) and was more than keeping pace with others along the way.  I was so thrilled to see that relay point where I'd hand off to the next person.  Not because it was "over" but rather because I DID IT!!  That moment and then getting the medal afterwards are forever etched as part of my journey!

Wow, what a feeling, huh???  LOL

I am not as camera shy, although I've yet to see a picture I like of me.

My protein tastes change, I'll eat shrimp nonstop, then get sick of it and eat pork, right now it's beef...mmmmmm

I missed the one here in Minnesota.  I have no idea what goes on at an event, but I'd love to check out the vendors and maybe find some new food items for variety.

Well, it looks like I'm in good company being late!  LOL!

What is something you did for YOURSELF to pamper yourself this week???  If nothing, what will you do this coming week???

I met up with a special guy friend, who we are seeing where our friendship will lead, and we went for a walk outdoors, then we had dinner and talked for hours.  I consider this pampering for me, as when we are together I feel completely safe and relaxed.

I need to stop avoiding the camera.  Went to an event last weekend and in the hundreds of pictures that were taken, I can only find three with me in them!  AND just like I couldn't believe I was that fat when I was heavy, not I can't believe I'm that small.  A friend saw one of the pictures and pointed out my clavicles...I didn't realize they stuck out that much but they do.  (never had any before.)

Favorite protein---cheese, shrimp, ground beef.  I cycle through my favorite bars and drinks---right now it's the Oh Yeah! 45 grams bars and SB 140 calorie ones, and AchievOne..

HI Lea,

Stayed the same.  I think I'm going back to my goal of exercise for the next challenge since I've been real bad since school started!!!!
