Clothing Exchange Reminder
Hi Jodi,
For those of us who have never been to a clothing exchange, can you let us know how this works. It is just a free-for-all or how is it organized. Also, should we package things up by size? Are they laid out in piles by size or by season or by category?
Maybe I'm thinking too much about it. Just curious.
Tania
Clothes are sorted out on to tables according to sizes. The tables will be marked. There will be an area for shoes and an area for undergarments/bras/swimsuits etc....
Grace is given and then we eat.
After eating is when we go through the clothing.
I know it's been kinda a habit that some people check out the clothing tables while unpacking and pick things up then - but I ask that you try to refrain from picking/choosing any clothing until after we eat that way any late comers have a chance at some nice clothing to. If you are bring something particular for a certain person or have something you know might intrest a certain person then present that to that person... don't say it's on the table. I just want to "play" fair for everyone. For everyone to have a chance at the clothing available.
I'll be bringing some sizes 12 - 10's in pants and Large tops. Not many because I have kinda maxed out in that size range before I got pregnant and I"m planning on keeping most of them plus my 8's and few 6's for after the baby. I will be browsing the larger size tables cuz as some of you know I own a sewing machine so I'll alter something I like that is big into a smaller size. Plus I need a few "bigger" tops and elastic waisted pants/shorts to make room for this growing little one.
Hope this helps.
Jodi
