for everyone else i hope things are good for you today .
i am almost 3 weeks out and have lost 45 pounds so far. my poor dog hates me we go for 3 walks a day. funny all he wants to do now is sleep. go figure.
i go back to work on monday i am looking forward to it actually .
if anyone has any foods that i can have that have flavor please let me know i a, bored with beans and cottage cheese i know its still early out but i stick to what i have to do . the only thing i have found that i really miss are salads. i think its the crunching and when i think i want one i eat ice to get the chewing effect . it works but i reallyyyyyyyyyyyy miss my salads..
well everyone have a blessed day and i will try to post a bit more. i just been busy walking and sipping and piddling around my yard .
vicki
Vicki, you will make it through the six weeks
It's a pain in the butt, but you can do it. I think I gave in and tried a cracker around 5 weeks, because I needed a crunch so badly, though! LOL.
I am down 90 pounds as of today. I weighed in at 195 this morning. I was so happy. This week has been busy, but good for me. I went up to Schaumberg, IL on Tuesday, to visit my friend who moved up there, when she got married. Then on the way home, I stopped in Hammond, IN, and had dinner with my parents. Last night I went to weight lifting with my trainer, and tonight is horseback riding lessons.

Vicki,
Glad to hear that you're doing so well. Since Brenda and I got back from vacation, I've been so busy at work I don't have much time to get on the boards. When I was on pureed foods, I ran Campbell's Chicken Tortilla soup through the blender. The consistency wasn't too bad...the rice gave it some consistency. I lived on this soup during those four weeks. I sure missed salads too and couldn't handle them until the 11 month point, even though Brenda never had a problem and could eat them as soon as she went to solid foods. Hopefully, you'll be like her since you're missing them.
Glad to hear you're out walking. Good luck at work next week.

thank you floyd i hope yours and brendas vacation was good. i look forward to taking one next summer with my thinner self so that we can actually do things together, and me not have to stop and watch. its funny tho i dont seem to lose as much walking as i do just taking it easy but never the less i walk only cause its nice out and the dog needs it..lol i know i do as well and getting in the habit now will make it easier later on.
have a good one..

Vicki,
You don't appear to lose as much when you walk because you are building muscle and it weighs more than fat, so don't sweat it. You will be amazed at how quickly you get into smaller sizes regardless of what the scales say. I weigh about 185 (down just over 80 lbs), but I'm wearing 14/16's. I can assure you that when I weighed 185 before I was in 18/20's. You're doing great!
