Hope everyone had a great Holiday.  Mine was one of the best I've had in years.  Good friends, Great food and lots of Laughter.  Of course I'm tired today from being awake until midnight listening to all the neighborhood fireworks.  But that's okay, the day is only 8 hours long then I can go home.  We have a friend coming to spend the night tonight so I have to finish cleaning my kitchen.  She's moving here and won't get her apartment and furnishing until tomorrow.  I won't have to cook though because of course we have plenty of leftovers. I still don't have the systems I need for my new job so I have nothing to do all day again.  Maybe soon.

Pam...I hope you had a great time with your family and everyone enjoyed your chicken salad. Vickie...I know it's hard to find the right balance when you're in the early stages.  Go slow and keep trying.  Concentrate on getting your protien and water and the rest will come in time.  You're doing great. Have a great Thursday everyone and just think---1 more day until the weekend, YEAH!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! We were able to see some of Six Flags fireworks through the trees last night. We got to talking about what we did last 4th...we were in Vegas! It seems like we do something a little bit different each year. LOL!  I just got back a little while ago from taking my shower...and I see Bill coming back from the shower house now. We will be packing up and heading for Terre Haute soon. I haven't figured out why my skin seems to be oilier now??? Ah well, we'll be home to the big city smog soon...lol! Then my *****an get rid of it's new found zit! We didn't swim much here so I'm looking forward to the TH KOA! The one day we did go, there was a teenager cannon-balling and diving in (diving is a ). He would be on the right side of the pool, so we would go to the left side. You guessed it! He'd go over to the left side! Finally, I got tired of him and got out. His parents sure weren't going to make him stop. We noticed that he was still there pulling that crap until the pool closed (at 11 pm our time). Brenda...sounds like you guys had a blast! That's terrific. I would love to have a copy of all the recipes you've gotten from your cooking class. Linda...bring your swim suit!! Have a terrific day everyone! Sherri

Hi Brenda (and everyone else!),

I just wanted to thank you for posting the chili chicken salad recipe.  I had forgotten all about it.  I boiled some chicken breasts and mixed some up for dinner last night.  My family is not used to eating anything served on lettuce, but even my 12 year old loved it.  (My six year old didn't, but I'm not sure if she really didn't like it or if it was because she is still recovering from her tonsillectomy last Friday.  She still isn't eating very well.) We opted out of fireworks last night since Rebecca is still a little down from her surgery.  We rented the movie "Flushed Away" instead.  It was very cute, but Rebecca & I fell   in my chair before it was over.  Guess we are both still pooped. I have to leave early today.  My husband has to work and I don't want to leave the kids alone.  Rebecca's scabs are due to come off any day now and they said her throat and ears would probably hurt a lot.  So, mommy wants to be there if she's needed.  Hope everyone has a great day.

I'm so happy to hear that everyone is enjoying the chicken salad.  I guess that will have to be my signature dish for a while.  I'll bring some to the clothing exchange if I can make it.  I'm still holding 28 July and 4 Aug open but I might have to go out of town on the 4th so hopefully Dawn will get a confirmation on the date soon.  I missed the last one and I really want to make this one.  I love getting together with all my OH friends and family. Cindy...sorry to hear Rebecca is having a bit of a time.  with all tha going on in her mouth, nothing probably tastes like it should.  Once her mouth is healed her taste buds will change back to "normal".  I've served it to non-surgical folks and always offer them a variety of "vessels" to eat it on.  I hae to remind myself often that not everyone has to be as concious as I am about breads and crackers. See you at support on the 18th.

Hi guys...well I'm just going to butt right in and converse if you guys don't mind :) We went to a cook out last night and I was thinking how different things are going to be for me next year...later we went down town to see the fireworks with family...it was nice...I got some good pictures!

I'm really hoping the next clothing exchange is either july 28 or 2 wks later...i missed the last one as I already had plans and I'm really itching to meet everyone...my surgery is aug 2 so if it's the 4th I won't make it.  ps, can anyone tell me how to put a ticker in my signature line? i tried and only came up with code :( i feel like a real dumby! hope everyone had a super holiday...here's to more to come! :) hugs, Jen

Jen, Don't copy the code just, right click and copy the actual ticker.  Hope it helps! A

Is it Thursday?  It's Monday for me...just got back from vacation.  Glad tomorrow is Friday.  I've got a ton of laundry to do and clean the house from where our luggage apparently exploded upon return. DisneyWorld was a blast!  I spent a lot of time in a hammock stretched between two palm trees.  After napping there all afternoon I looked like a belgian waffle from all the grid marks the hammock left on my legs. Today has been spent catching up on the things I missed while I was gone.  Including the message boards.  I missed y'all!
