Thursday
Hope everyone had a great Holiday. Mine was one of the best I've had in years. Good friends, Great food and lots of Laughter. Of course I'm tired today from being awake until midnight listening to all the neighborhood fireworks. But that's okay, the day is only 8 hours long then I can go home. We have a friend coming to spend the night tonight so I have to finish cleaning my kitchen. She's moving here and won't get her apartment and furnishing until tomorrow. I won't have to cook though because of course we have plenty of leftovers. I still don't have the systems I need for my new job so I have nothing to do all day again. Maybe soon.
Pam...I hope you had a great time with your family and everyone enjoyed your chicken salad. Vickie...I know it's hard to find the right balance when you're in the early stages. Go slow and keep trying. Concentrate on getting your protien and water and the rest will come in time. You're doing great. Have a great Thursday everyone and just think---1 more day until the weekend, YEAH!!!!!!!!

Hi Brenda (and everyone else!),
I just wanted to thank you for posting the chili chicken salad recipe. I had forgotten all about it. I boiled some chicken breasts and mixed some up for dinner last night. My family is not used to eating anything served on lettuce, but even my 12 year old loved it. (My six year old didn't, but I'm not sure if she really didn't like it or if it was because she is still recovering from her tonsillectomy last Friday. She still isn't eating very well.)
We opted out of fireworks last night since Rebecca is still a little down from her surgery. We rented the movie "Flushed Away" instead. It was very cute, but Rebecca & I fell in my chair before it was over. Guess we are both still pooped.
I have to leave early today. My husband has to work and I don't want to leave the kids alone. Rebecca's scabs are due to come off any day now and they said her throat and ears would probably hurt a lot. So, mommy wants to be there if she's needed.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I can eat as much as I want...I just don't want much.
I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
