5 days out... Questions!
I'm 5 days out from my surgery and things seem to be going pretty well but I am worried about the amount of food/liquid I am talking in.
Most times, I can only eat about 1 T of food .... and I am only getting in 20 oz of Isopure a day. All that equates to about 45 grams of protien a day... but I am worried that my liquid input is only 20 oz instead of the recommended 64 oz..
Is this normal for 5 days out?
Hon, RARELY does anyone get everything in when they are newbies. Give it a few weeks and it will all get easier. Just stick to TRYING to eat 3 'meals' a day and try to get in most of your protein.

I agree with Sherri, TRY to eat 3 times a day... get into the routine..you'll need it latter so you dont fall back into old ways.. even if you are sitting down 3 times a day with your protien drink..
Thats why we always say sip sip sip.. keeping a bottle of water or protien drink within arms reach you will remember to sip...then it will just come naturally.
I was about 45 g of protien for about 4 weeks until I was able to somehow jus click... it will click for you too..

I CARRIED A BOTTLE OF WATER EVERYWHERE I WENT AND STILL DO . AND WHEN I WAS FIRST OUT AND STILL SLEEPING IN A CHAIR I HELD IT IN MY HAND . TRAINED MYSELF TO SIP IN MY SLEEP. MY OTHER HALF LAUGHS AT ME A LOT BUT HE UNDERSTANDS IT. I FOUND THAT MUNCHING ON ICE HELPS ALOT TO . ALSO FILLS THAT NEED TO CRUNCH SOMETHING. I CAN WIPE OUT A 32 OZ CUP OF ICE IN NO TIME . YOU GET YOUR LIQUDS AND YOU GET THAT FEELING OF CRUNCHING( THAT IS WHAT I MISSED THE MOST). GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT.
