Remember OUT OF BED before you think you can and walk, walk walk. Laps are recorded on a white board in the hall so try to shoot for the highest number. Take a pain med if offered before you go home. Walk and walk some more at home.  If it is cool wear a coat.  If it is hot wear shorts.  Let the neighborhood know you are out there you will even see people join you or start walking themselves. Make plans to do aerobic exercise.  Measure and or weigh everything that goes in your mouth.  Sip sip sip water.  Don't get worried about the protein at first it will come.  Stay in support group meetings, I don't care how far you need to drive or the time it takes.   Rejoice that the REST of your Life meals are ahead of you.  The fish and chicken not Pizza Hut and McDonald's. I definetly plan to take pain med before heading home the 2 hour drive.  My daughters and I have already said we are going to start walking.  If the weather is bad, my husband works at a school we will go there and walk laps in the gym.  I will also use the exercise equipment while I am there.  I have a lot of big plans in store.  The biggest one is to get healthier and not have to hurt so much.
