Sherri Update..

I had my appointment with Dr. Gupta this afternoon. First, to close up the hole in my belly would require a surgery and she & I agree that I am no where physically ready to have another surgery right now. Second, she's a little upset that they took me off of the wound-vac and is working at getting it back on. That will help it to heal quicker..and to make closing up the opening much easier, and quicker. Because of this, she isn't even going to guess when I'll be able to return to work. In fact, they plan on putting 'unknown' down for Lilly's FMLA paperwork for my return date (Lilly's sent it to them today to update my file at Lilly's). Alot depends on when that next surgery can take place. All I know is that right now my stomach is so swollen (from the intestines) that it looks like I'm 6 months pregnant. Dr. Gupta gave me meds for the diarhea & intestinal spasms. I'm SO glad that I'll be getting some relief! For the lump in my leg, I do need to go see Dr. Bergman, but Dr. Gupta felt that it was probably either scar tissue or fluid...but it's not infected, and that's a good thing. I told her about my feet swelling up but she really didn't have anything to say about it. My next appointment is on 11/26. We'll see if I & my belly are ready for the surgery then..... Sherri

Hi Sherri, I'm so sorry to hear that your recovery is moving along so slowly. But, I'm glad the Dr gave you some meds to make you feel better! I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Sherri, honey, I am so sorry to hear that you are still in alot of pain and discomfort. Maybe the wound-vac will help heal you quickly, and ease your troubles. Hang in there......prayers are headed your way.
