Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

Hey everybody! Happy Sunday! It's pretty miserable lookin' outside today. Rainy and wet and just plain ick. Gotta call a plumber tomorrow I think. The kitchen sink is plugged up with about 2 inches of water in both sides. Mom put Draino or somethin' in it on Friday, and it's still in there. It's really annoying. I don't really plan on attending the St. V's party this year. Maybe next year. Yesterday my nephew had his birthday party at the bowling alley. I couldn't bowl, but it was fun watching the little ones do it with the bumpers up. They were hilarious.
Well, I hope everyone has a great day. Try to stay warm and dry out there!
Happy Sunday everyone! It was soooo nice sleeping in my own bed last night, without being connected to monitors, pulse ox and blood pressure cuff, and not being made to get up and walk every two hours! However, getting out of bed was a killer. We have one of those memory foam mattresses, and it's the most comfortable bed I've ever had. However, overnight you sorta sink into the foam, making it feel like an uphill climb to get out of bed in the morning. Because there's no springs inside to help push/bounce out of bed, any pressure you exert on the foam is absorbed by it. It was so painful trying to roll out, it brought tears to my eyes! Next time, I'm going to make sure my husband is around to give me a hand.
So far I've had no trouble getting my protein milk "shake" in, and had 2 oz of applesauce for breakfast. I'm planning on some yogurt for lunch and then either oatmeal or thin mashed potatoes for dinner. I also did 20 minutes at a slow pace on my treadmill, and may try another 20 this evening.
I guess I'm doing alright at this point, but I may need to whine later in the week when I get sick of milk and full liquids.
Misty, your abscess worries me! Unless you're really convinced it's getting better, make sure Dr. Cacucci or one of her partners takes a look at it. They might need to drain it for you, and obtain a culture from it.
Sherri, I love your Elfster/Secret Santa idea, thanks for organizing it!
Take care everyone,
Jessica
I called and spoke with Dr. C yesterday which is when she called the Keflex in. I've been using warm wash clothes and holding it on there to try and draw it out but it usually ONLY comes out when I push and put pressure (sometimes a lot of pressure). If it's not feeling any better Monday I'll probally try and call especially with the pain that I've been experiencing being as bad as it's gotten the past couple nights. The weird thing is that the site looks fine other than being a little red (but that is more irritation from having to have it restitched in twice in the last month). I've been keeping a watch on it though and trying to get it to drain every 1-2 hours and it's slowed down a bit but if I let it go for a few hours I can start getting fair amounts again. It doesn't really drain on it's own though which is weird because before I was getting a small amount of drainage pretty much on every bandage. The good thing is my temperatures haven't gone above 99.3 sooooooo they're staying low grade (normal for me is 96ish). Tylenol is helping some with that.
She may even call me on Monday usually when I talk to them on a weekend they will call me on Monday.
We will just see.
