The Christmas Party

Andy and I made it home safely with no snow till we got home.  There was a really bad wreck on 32.  We had to turn around and take 38 home.  Didnt see what happened but it must not have been good.  Lots of emergency vehicles where there.

 

It was great seeing everyone tonight.  I missed a few ppl that were there last year that werent here this year and my thoughts were also with Mary Browns family and kids....remembering her since she passed away just days after the Christmas party last yr.  That was so sad. 

Everyone looked beautiful as usual. Ellen I swear u get more beautiful everytime I see you....expected you to look wore out taking care of all those babies but u were radient.  I so enjoyed talking to Marianne and Vicki and Jessica and Sue.  You ladies have done an amazing job on your wt loss.  I hadnt seen Bonnie in some time and she always looks amazing.  Sherri I hope u dont have to keep that designer handbag much longer.  However it was good that u could get out.  Hmm I guess thats about everyone I got to spend time with.  I didnt even see my surgeon there this yr. 

Vicki....We got home and still had your ladder...guess I'll bring it again Sat.....Sorry we forgot to get it in your car before we left.

Morning All! I had such a good time last night at the party! It was so good to see everyone and I think we Hoosier Losers are definatly a beautiful bunch of people!! Everyone looked spectactular!! It was so good seeing Sherri out and about! Tiffany is such a lovely young lady and Sherri you are so blessed to have her! Ellen you looked so  beautiful...simply glowing! It was so nice getting to meet  your husband Bonnie, you 2 are such a cute couple! I hope you fed DeWayne on the way home! :o) Vicki you looked so pretty and Jess you definatly were a Jess Doll! Pam...Pam...Pam.... I am sure you know how much I loved you in that smashing dress! It is FABULOUS! You looked positively Stunning! I looked on the site and it wasn't showing your outfit available in red....sniff...sniff....I will keep looking and hope to find one. It was nice to meet Andy...how proud he must be of his Gorgeous wife! Lisa, it was good seeing you again.....I missed the Marilyn dress :o) Misty it was nice to put a face with you and your hubby other than in pictures. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I know I am missing some of you guys but it was such a short time to see everyone. I will be looking forward to any pictures you all took when you post them. Hope you all have a beautiful snowy day! I asked a couple of the nurses about Dr Cacucci because they stopped me when I was walking around and they had said Dr. C was in surgery and that was at like 8:15ish, so I'm guessing some kinda emergency.

I am so sorry I didnt get to make the party. My daughter came Home with a really bad migrain. I just didnt have the heart to ask her if we were still going. She was up all night and didnt even make work this morning. But I will be at the ornament exchange, I will be coming with Dawn. I am so happy everyone had a great time and made it home safe. I hope your daughter is feeling better. I'm looking forward to seeing you Saturday. I also thought of Mary Brown last night. I know if you had been there last night Gail that Mary would had been very much on your mind as well. Prior to the party last year, I was on medical leave for foot surgery. Mary and I were on the phone together just about every day for at least an hour each time! I know that when she wasn't on the phone with me, she was usually being her cheerful self with Gail. I was so thrilled at the party because I was finally able to meet this lovely woman in person. I felt I had already known her for an eternity because we did log so many hours on the phone. lol. When we met, we just picked up where our last phone conversation left off at. Like many of you, when I had gotten the phone call that Mary had passed away a few days after the St. V's party, I was in shock. If ever there was someone with a real zest for life, it was she. I just haven't had the heart to delete anything on my pc that is connected to Mary...her email addy is still in my address book, she's one of my 'friends' here, her pic is on my desktop from when I resized it for her for her avatar. Mary was just one of those people who got in your heart, and stayed there. I feel that I am a better person for having had known her. For those who didn't know Mary and are wondering..Mary had some major heart issues. She had weight loss surgery and was doing fantastic. If she had it 5 years earlier, perhaps things would had turned out differently, but her poor heart was already worn out. She didn't die because of the weight loss surgery. In fact, she had been doing fantastic post-op with her weight and even celebrated that by splurging on a very beautiful dress for the St. V's party. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done to her heart. It never touched her soul however. That, was beautiful and strong! I do apologize if I have left anyone out.....you are all very dear to me. Sherri

Just thought I would say it was great to everyone last night and you ALL looked simply FABLOUS!! as well.  Marianne, you daughter is simply beautiful and you are right she does look like Vanessa Willams, Oh tell your daughter (I have fogotten her name again it was great meeting her too) yes I fed DeWayne last night when we got home he actually waited til then....lol.  I asked him if he was going to stop he said no we had plenty to fix at home....lol and you know who had to fix it for him too.....lol. Sherri, You looked really great and my heart goes out to you with your purse I know second hand how much you just love carrying it around my son did too.  Hats off to your Daughter Tiffany she is simply the greatest to shuttle you and Bill around.  It was great meeting her also. Sherri,  your pictures turned out great.  None of mine turned out.  We have a new camera and neither of us know how to work it yet.  I cant wait to see everyone elses pictures.

I had a great time last night at the Christmas Party.  Even Andy enjoyed it more than he thought he would.  I always like meeting new ppl.  I met a few new ones from this board and a few from the other boards.  I am so looking forward to the lunch on Sat.

I also would like to thank all of you for the very kind comments you made last night and on here.  I felt like a million with that good looking man as my main accessory.  You wonderful ladies helped me to feel that way.  I had been pretty down the last few months and last night was what I really needed to get my spirits back up....Thanks.

Okay! Now I'm a little coherant I can type more today! I was soo exhausted last night I slept half the way home! That was the first time I've done soooo much in a day in the past 4 months (we walked round the malls for 4 hours before heading to the Christmas party). The first time I've worn my dress shoes with any type of heel in forever and it felt good lol. I got huge blisters on my feet now!! AAh but it's great! Richard had a blast also!! He said he was expecting it to be boring and all that fun stuff but he really enjoyed himself!! The gentleman who sat next to us with his daughter (Janene do you remember names??) and Rich really enjoyed talking to each other!! Sherri & Tiffany - It was great meeting you!! Sherri I LOVE the red hair hehe thats great!! I looked for you for a while and that threw me off hehe. Tiffany thanks for sharing your mom with us young folks on the board!!!! I think of Sherri as another mom!!!!! Janene & Mark - WoW! What can I say but we are soo blessed to have sat with two AMAZING people!!!!! Janene NEXT year we'll be on the dance floor together !! HEHE Jess - Gosh I had a brain fart and was thinking Jenn for some reason! But it was great meeting you!!! You look awesome!! Ellen - You look awesome!!!! How are those grandbabies doing ??
