Dr. Dale Sloan?

Could anyone who has been a patient of Dale Sloan's in Indiana let me know what you think and what your experience was?  Perhaps at least let me know you're out there so I can read your profiles?  I would like to know how successful his RNY surgeries have been, please Thanks, Tara

hi i went to dr sloans consult but they wasnt taking my ins so i went to indy and had my surgery aug 8th and its been 4 months and ive lost 90 pounds so far are u thinking of having the surgery? r u close to ft wayne?

I attended Dr. Sloan's informational session a couple years ago, the second month that Lutheran was doing WLS.  I was impressed with him--he seemed very knowledgable and kind, but at the time he wasn't operating on anyone with a BMI of higher than 45 so I couldn't go to him.  Since Lutheran had just started doing WLS, they wanted to keep their rate of complications down so they opted to not take any patients with BMIs higher than 45--that is the only part of the program I was not impressed with.

I had Dr. Sloan do my surgery on Aug. 15th and have to say he is the best.  I would not think twice about having him do surgery.  I have to have one of my kids set up a home page for me because I am totally clueless on how to do that, but if you have any questions just ask I think my e-mail shows.
