Gallbladder Question
#1 I was not trying to attack what you said. I was also trying to dispense good information re: gallbladder problems. As a matter of fact, I very carefully tried to insert the phrase "I was under the impression (maybe falsely) that. . . ." Yet you appeared to take that to mean that I was blaming bariatric surgery rather than any kind of weight loss as you retorted with remarks indicating you get tired of bariatric surgery being blamed for so many things. I was simply trying to clarify the meaning of my previous post since you didn't seem to get the difference between weight loss and bariatric surgey I didn't want others to mistake what I must have inappropriately stated.
#2 I don't want a debate either. I also answered the question based on what I had been told. I never realized that my posts weren't welcome or were somehow offensive. Don't worry, I will remember not to post to this site since it is obviously Sweet (?) Sherri's site.
I for one hope that u dont stop posting. I feel everyones imput is invaluable.

Personally.. I think everyone is right.. I just love seeing everyones opinions.. no two people are alike.. fantastic. I find nothing offensive unless you attack my family or me personally or one of my friends. But then attack actually has different values too..
SWEET Sherri was right sorta.. My Knee was caused by an auto accident I had when I was 145 lbs.. I didnt know the horrible trauma I had caused it because I was young and active 30 years ago.. but then I got FAT and caused more trauma.. the stress my weight caused to the damage that had already been done made it worse. Dr. Fragameni said as soon as I lost 100 pounds he would replace my knee he wasnt going to waste his time on something that would just wear out in a few years.. He was brutal but he was right. so 20 years later I had RNY lost 100 pounds and went right back to see him.. So glad I did. he was a wonderful Dr who just a year after I had my knee replaced he had a heartattack and quad by pass and retired.. As brutal as he was I wanted HIM to replace my knee..
May all your wishes come true and your life be filled will joy.

MY gall bladder was 15 years before my RNY.. I was overweight but not obease at the time. THE PAIN I had with my gallbladder attacks was so severe I thought I was having heart attack. thru the middle of my upper back and right between the breast bone.. I did not feel uncomfortable I WAS IN PAIN.. I had to get a pain shot to stop it. It would start about an hour or so after I ate meat.. Protien sets it off because your gall bladder is used to digest protien.and when it isnt working right it gets agrevated..sometimes severely so.
Weight adds to so many problems heart, gall bladder my knees, joints and depression... but is it the CAUSE... not always.
Please do not stop posting.. it is the exchange of ideas, personalities and experiences that make this a great place to be for support... Do I always agree with everyone and with every idea?? No but I have the oppertunity to pick and choose ideas and suggestions from a WIDE Source of information. THIS is a family.. really!! Think about your own family.. sisters cousins.. are they ALWAYS 100% in tune with eachother... I doubt it.. but they grow from each experience.. and they continue to love and to share with eachother..
Just as they do here..Bicker folks if you need to but continue to love.. Oh yea,,, my caps are not screaming.. just empasizing a word..
