Computers back up and I'm doing fine.

Hi Everyone. So sorry I haven't wrote since my surgery,but my computers been down. Had my surgery on Fri. the 7th and was home the next day. I was happy to get it all done. Now I have to learn how to eat all over again. I had no problems and I have no problems eating. I haven't got sick yet, buy I am watching everything I put in my mouth. My drain tube was out on Tues. After that I felt a lot better and I'm getting around well. Now I'm ready to get my Christmas shopping finished. It's been 7 days since my surgery and I am down 12 lbs. I hope thats good. Sounds like u are doing great.  Im glad to hear that u didnt have any problems.  I still to this day have never been sick or even thrown up since my surgery.  Only twice did I even get foamies....they are gross....but only last a min or two...wasnt any big deal at all.  Hope everything continues to go smoothly for u

I am glad that you are home and doing well. It sounds like you are doing very good. I too haven't had much problems either. I got sick one time and that was from taking one sip to many. I do get to the point where things seem like they don't want to go down but then I burp and things seem to settle. lol Thank God for burping. I never thought that I would live to hear myself say that. lol

Hi Terri.  Glad to hear you're doing so well.  I found out that my sugar was way too high and they weren't sure if they were going to do my surgery, but I've gotten it down quite a bit.  The main problem is the meds I take for the diabetes make me sick (which was why I wasn't taking them much) and I've been sick since I started.  They did change them so instead of Avandamet I'm taking glumetza and avandia.....as long as I don't take them together it's not quite as bad, but haven't felt like doing Christmas shopping.  My husband can get our sons' presents, but I'm not sure how I'm going to get his yet.   My surgery is supposed to be Mon. morning.  We have a hotel reservation for Sunday, but the way the weather is getting, we may need to go today.  I hope my surgeon can make it.  Well, gotta get off here and figure out what we're going to do.  Candy
