TGIF

Good morning!  I just got a call from Joe, my over-seeing RN visiting nurse. I am so thrilled because it is HIM that is coming today! With the holidays, they've had some come out that aren't my usual ones..and one in particular, I can't stand...Marty. She's been here twice and if she came again, I'm not sure I could refrain from saying 'bite me' to her! Anyway, I have been having like a burning sensation for about a week so I'm VERY happy that Joe is coming today! He & Elaine (an LPN that usually comes when Joe doesn't) both knows me, my wound, and how I normally have no sensation at all... so anything new or different (like this burning sensation) is something I would rather one of them check out. The one I don't like, when I told her she literally acted like she could care less and proceeded to go over that area roughly with a gauze instead of being gentle and patting it! I had to tell her to knock it off. Oh..I also have the right to refuse any part of their visit if I want..but especially the blood draws (since I'm such a hard stick). I rarely do but I did the first time Marty came because my nurse at the hemophillia center told me that it would be a waste to do it then since it takes 3 days for a meds change to stabalize in your system and on that day, it'd only be 2 days since the change. Marty threw such a fit that I went ahead and let her do it anyway. Then last Monday, Christmas Eve, I refused because my nurse at the center told me the Friday before that she wouldn't be seeing any results until Wed. so I could just wait until then. Well..I told her on the phone when she called to let me know what time she'd be here...and she threw a fit again, but this time, I stuck to my guns. So when she gets here, she informs me that she called the family doctor (who had NOTHING to do with my testing anymore) and that they WERE open and she also called the hemophillia center and someone was in (but NOT MY nurse!) so BOTH places KNOW I refused it! What?? Did she think she was tattle telling on me??? See why I almost said 'bite me'? She also said that she had told the hemophhillia center the first time that I was going to refuse and that they didn't know why I would say that my blood didn't need done. Well duh...maybe because she wasn't talking with MY nurse! When my nurse called me that night, she was surprised that the blood was drawn! I plan on letting Joe know how Marty did today.  Grrrrrr!!! Poor Brenda called me Monday not too long after that little experience with Marty..Brenda...see why I said what I did about how some visiting nurses were great, but others were grrrrrrr!!!? LOL! Tiffany sent me a couple of pictures on my cell phone of RJ in his new big boy bed. He'll be 2 in Feb and let me tell you, he has got Mamaw & Papaw wrapped around his little finger! He is just so cute and loveable! I love all four of our grandkids but they each definately have their own unique personality. It sounds like we're working on having the 7 dwarfs..lol...we have Whiney (Chance), Extrovert (Myranda), Introvert (Shyanne), and Loveable (RJ). Add mine & Bill's kids and we do have all 7 dwarfs..lol...Tiffany is our hard-worker but kinda 'blonde', Jay is hard-working once he gets a job but seems to think a job will come looking for him and he catches on to things quicker than Tiff..IF he wants to (but RARELY wants to!), and then Shell...she's lazy..heart of gold, but LAZY. Well..New Years is right around the corner. The offer still stands if anyone is going to be on the east side. Bill & I are just spending a quiet evening at home. Floyd & Brenda will be coming over (~8). If anyone else would like to, you're welcome to..just drop me a line & let me know to expect you. I was sooo blessed Sherri. When I had my home nurse for those weeks I was actually home with my PICC lines it was the same 2 that came out (usually the same 1 hehe) and they were both awesome!!!! Tiffany seemed like a great girl when I met her at the St. V's party!!!! She's a real sweetie.. Today I feel so so. I have a cold coming on and soo I'm trying to just rest. I didn't get to bed til after midnight last night too because I had to go pick my mom up for work. My tummy feels super weird today, even when I drink it gets really crampy but I tried using the bathroom (because it's been 5 days) and it just seems like I've got gas. I know thats a lil TMI but really it's making me kinda miserable. Anyways I'm out  for now..

WHOAAAAAAAAAAA it IS Friday!  I have had a bad time this past week trying to remember what day it was!  LOL  Mark was off work for so many days that I got confused!  LOL  Oh Well!!!  I hope y'all are having great holiday weeks and IF y'all get out over New Years Eve..BE SAFE!  Sherri....next time tell her "BITE ME" for me!!!  lol  hugggggggggggs to y'all!
