Submitted to Insurance

Oh my gosh,  I am so nervous!  Just found out that the weight loss center submitted my information to my new insurance company (new as of yesterday!).    Let me say that I had a surgery date for 12/19/07 and then at the last minute MPlan denied my claim and I didn't have the time to appeal since I was no longer going to be covered by them after 12/31/07. I am 4 months into a physician supervised diet and thought that the WLC might wait until i was further along.  However, she must just want to see if they will approve it with everything else (documentation wise) that we have, all my comorbidities etc. and if they don't approve it then we will know exactly what else they need me to do.  (Have had my psych. eval in October and met with RD last week.)  I don't plan on having surgery now until the middle of May as my son is my support person and he will be finishing his spring semester at college - so I have plenty of time if they deny me to meet their requirements. Please keep me in your thoughts.  Will let you know when I find out anything.

Who's your new insurance? My surgeon's office submitted my psych eval to BCBS on Nov 29, and they approved me on Dec 8! Here's hoping you get a quick response!!

My new insurance is also BCBS.  The doctor's office said that all she had to do was complete a form online and then submit it.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.

My new Insurance is BCBS, also. I tried to call them today to get new Ins. cards and the automated lady said they were backed up due to all the new changes and the wait was 25 minutes to talk to someone. Yeah, so I hung up and made my request by computer. Then I tried to fill my dd presp. for compound tushy cream (she's sensitive to everything) and they could not get ahold of BCBS so I have to pick it up tommorow. SHerri- Thanks for the ideas on potty training. I tried the plastic pants. (oops she allergic to them and made her but blood red and raw. I should of seen that one coming, though. As an infant she was very sens. to baby wipes. But good news, she has been doing very well all day long going potty, she is hust having trouble at night but that I can handle. Pediatrician said that is very normal. Hope everyone had a great day, seminar tommorow, can not wait. It's like Christmas all over again!
