This stupid insomnia is set in again. Drives me nuts. I go to bed at 10PM and wake up at 3AM. I havd a breakfast drink and get on the PC. Helps with my bible study time it is quite. Hope it gets to 45 or higher today so I can get a 40 mile bike ride in, maybe that will help me sleep longer tonight. God Bless you all E

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Good morning. We had my son's new friend from his new school spend the night last night. He seems like a nice young man, and the parents seem nice too. Good to get to know some folks in the new neighborhood.  Today the boys have tae kwon do lessons, and Maggie has dance class. I have to run by my doctor's office to pick up some samples of prevacid. Then I have to work at Sears all day. What for an exciting day, right? Lol.

Good morning everyone!  Good morning E! I hope you were able to lay down and catch a few more ZZZ's before starting your day. I'll just be glad when I can go to sleep and stay asleep. I've been getting up between 7 & 8 lately but I don't fall asleep until about 1 am. And then up at 2 am, and 3 am, and 4 am,... With these hernias, I get woken up every time anything is in my bladder at all because the hernias push down on it. It'll be nice if after the 21st I can get some straight-through-the-night sleep. Of course, I'm going to have to start being able to fall asleep earlier too. I get up at 4 am when I work so 3 hours of sleep wouldn't do well at all. I got some super terrific news yesterday! No more wound-vac!! Woo-hoo! I just have to do a dry bandage change twice a day. THAT, I can handle! Joe (my head visiting nurse) and I decided not to call the company to pick up the wound-va****il after I see Dr. Gupta on Monday....just in case she changes her mind after she sees me (my appt is Monday at 10:30). But by then, that will give me a week reprieve and trust me, I'm happy for all the reprieve I get from that darn thing. Dr. Bergman's office called yesterday. They got the blood test results. All were ok except my white cell count was down. It was suppose to be 4.0-10.0 and it was 2.9. I have no idea what caused that...I've been Googling it all morning. I checked some tests I had done last May and it was a little low then too. All I do know is I have to be really, really careful not to catch anything right now. Dr. Bergman & Dr. Gupta's nuses both called the hemophillia center to hopefully get some guidance as to why it's low and what we can do to try to bring it up...especially before surgery. We had dinner with Bill's mom, Jean, last night at Lincoln Square (and her bf Bob, Bill's sister & hubby (Suzie & Doug), and Bob's two kids (I think her name was Suzette..and his was Steve)..well..they are in their 40-50's but they are his 'kids'..lol). Hey Ellen..no big announcement or anything. They just planned it for then since Steve was going to be in town. Anyway, I had been dreading having to bring the wound-vac to that. Jean & Bob has seen me with it but the rest hasn't. Last night was so that all the 'kids' could meet, NOT about 'let's feel sorry for Sherri'. That stupid machine had a way of making it about me. So I was so glad that as long as I was sitting (with no side profile..lol) at the table, everyone could forget about me & my belly! Hehehe..BUT...we had a waitress to come & take our drink order that hadn't seen me & Bill for awhile. We just usually don't get sat at her station. Anyway, she sees me and she was 'Oh my God girl! You have lost so much weight! How much have you lost????'. You should had seen the look on Bob's son & daughter's face when I said '205'! Haha!! Now THAT was a conversation starter! Naturally, both of them were skinny and probably never took the word 'diet' seriously..they sure didn't look like they needed to. But at least now they can go home (the son lived in New Mexico) with the knowledge of someone who IS successful with a weight loss surgery. Later, the son & I discussed Lasik surgery too. Hehe...and then Bob & I talked about his latest endoscope since I was the only one at the table who well understood those after having 15 of them! LOL! His esophagus narrows and he has to have it stretched about once a year for the past few years. Gee...I wonder what other surgeries/procedures they could had questions on...??? Bunion? Gall Bladder? Ulnar nerve? Trigger Thumb? Hysterectomy? Internal hernias? Uretha sling? Tummy tuck? Thigh lift? LOL!!! Guess we gotta save something for the next time we all get together! Hahaha!!  It was good seeing Doug & Suzie. Usually I don't say that. Doug has a way of trying to act like big man on campus. He was actually very tollerable. Usually he likes to brag on how much better off they are financially than anyone else (he's a stock broker) but I think he daughter's wedding & son's college has taken a big bite out of his savings so he isn't feeling quite so smug these days (can we all say awwwwww....). And usually he has the attitude that his kids can do no wrong. For his son's 21st birthday he wanted to do some father-son bonding and was going to take his son & son-in-law to Vegas...his son didn't want to spend his birthday with his dad but with his best friend instead. That really crushed Doug I think. That was a year ago and he talked with me & Bill about it last night and seemed genuinely crushed. I told him not to worry..that JD would regret that decision when he has a 21 yr old son of his own. I think it made he feel closer to us knowing we understood exactly how he felt. I really doubt they have many friends who would. Well..back to Google..You all have a terrific Saturday! I'm going to keep Chance tonight and take him shopping in the morning to celebrate his 7th birthday! Wow...grandkids grow up even faster than your kids! Many hugs & warm wishes, Sherri

Anybody want to adopt me?!?!  I need a new home for a few days! LOL  I want to get away from everything going on here, but that would just be running away, and I don't do that! Now that Molly is settled into bed for the time being, I am taking a short break and make a couple posts, then I have to get back to work cleaning the house!  Have a wonderful day! TTYL
