It's me...again! LOL!
Dawn,
It's funny that you said that about the 10,000 steps. Bill & I were talking about how I need to wear my pedometer the next time we go to the hemophilia center. I would guess that we get in at least 1,000 steps just from the truck to her office each time. We lucked out yesterday when we went back at 2 though. I found a close parking space to one of the entrances quite aways from the one we needed so we had even farther to walk but at least it was indoors. Fortunately, all those buildings there seem to be connected (it's in the Professional Building which is attached to St. V's main hospital on 86th street..we went in through the Orthapedic Center).
Strange to think that before my bunion surgery...so summer of '06, I was walking 10-15 miles a day. I had myself back up to 5-6 miles (10-12,000 steps) by the time I had my plastics. Now? The nurse at Dr. Gupta's asks me if I have been exercising at all, I say 'no' and she says 'good!'. I can't imagine trying to exercise with this belly! Shoot, what little walking I do and my many, many potty trips are enough to wear me out!
I am SO ready for 'normal'!!
