Consult with Dr. Evanson
it's basically a power point presentation from several different people explaining the procedure, insurance/financial stuff, and nutritional info. after dr. e explains the different surgeries, you meet with him for about 10 or 15 minutes to discuss your history and options. pretty pain free session except for the amount of info they give you. i had my meeting back in november. best of luck!
Ditto what Allie said. You'll hear from his office manager Colleen about the insurance part of the process, and from one of the St. V dieticians. When I went for my consult, there was also a post-op person there to talk about his experience, but I think that was an unscheduled bonus. And Dr. Evanson does his presentation, and you meet with him personally afterwards. It's just a conversation, there's no physical exam to it. For most folks, that's the only time you meet with him before the day of surgery. But the St. V bariatric center does a great job of teaching you everything you need to know and walking you through the pre-op testing. Good luck, and he's worth it!
