I bought just individual tubes for 2.79 a piece at GNC the next town up. I was told my store can order them for me though.

Misty,  Dr Huse had me do the packing and tape the g-tube on top of the dressing so it would never hang down, it would stay in place. He also gave me skin prep to put around the "u" packing. It was better than just letting it hang. That position was a lot safer and wont have your G=tube just hanging down, causing those stiches to in place. If you meed any skin prep or dressings give me a call sweetie. I wish you didnt have to through so much. Give me a call any time, I'll be here for you. LOVE YA !!!!! Hugs & Blessings, Gail

I had a g-tube after my surgery and to keep my tube under control I always tucked the end of the tube in my bra between my boobs!  The tube stayed put perfectly.  I couldn't tolerate my tube just "hanging" - it hurt my stitch.  Eventually my stitch just worked its way out and I taped it to my stomach so it wouldn't get sucked in.  So does your tube go in farther than it was when it was placed?  That  sounds like it would hurt! My tube has gone completely in up to the valves.. Thursday even after the stitch broke it hung out the bottom of my shirts sooooo probally hung bout 10-12 inches I'd say.. Theres a pic on my profile of what I woke up to yesterday morning showing the valves just barely hanging out of the gauze pad.

Can you pull it back out?  Did they advise you to leave it or pull it back out some?  I guess when my stitch came out and it got sucked in, it only went in a few inches and was uncomfortable.  I just pulled it back out to the point it originally was at and secured it at that point.  If you do get restitched, I wouldn't just let it hang free.  That seems like it would put a lot of stress on the stitch.  I would keep the valves of the tube either tucked in your bra or I also sometimes kept mine tucked in some supportive underwear.   Jennifer

I can pull it out but it goes right back in. It's restitched right now but my DR didn't pull it out much at all and its still pretty painful. I tried tucking it in my pants or something and it hurt because it pulled it.
