I'm never up this early to start the daily post, but we're just finishing packing and will be headed to the airport by 4.  We'll be at Disney World by noon and soaking in some warm weather.  I talked with a high school buddy tonight who lives in Orlando and he said it was 67 degrees.  We'll finally get to warm up. I started my new new job Tuesday and it is going to be one very hectic job.  I love it, tho.  Brenda was laughing at me yesterday because I'm so excited about the job.  Yesterday I got a call for an interview on another job I had applied for and it felt good to tell them I wasn't interested.  When it rains, it pours, but I'll be very happy with this job. Talk to everyone in a couple weeks.  Floyd

Enjoy your vacation!!! I wish I was packed into your suitcases! LOL It is a slow morning here at the house. The girls aren't getting up for anything in the world. Of course, it is 3 degrees here, and they are snuggled up in their warm electric blankets, so I don't blame them for NOT wanting to get up.  Oh well, its still a school day! I got to visit with Jen last night after work.  I must say, I haven't had so much fun in quite some time, and I love all my goodies that I got!  I now have some clothes to wear for a little while! And then, by the time the clothing exchange comes back around again, I will pass them on from BOTH of us! LOL!!!  It is so awesome to have friends this great!  I had so much fun modeling all the clothes to the girls last night! I felt like a kid in a candy store.  Molly wanted to see every outfit, and then of course, she wanted to see my rear as well, just because she knows that EVERY part of me is going! LOL  Thats fine with me! Got to get going. I have to pray that the car is going to start this morning with it as cold as it is. Keep your fingers crossed.  If it starts, I need to start it now, since we leave in 30 minutes for school!!! UGGH! Have a great day and weekend!!! Enjoy it!

Hi all,... hope you're staying warm. It's -1 in Terre Haute, or so I heard on the radio. We woke up late today in our house. I think it's the same thing,.. being snuggled in the blankets on a day like today makes it hard to get up.  Last night I worked my Sears job. It was slooow. I guess that's the case for retail after the holidays. I will be glad when things start picking up again. It makes the time go more quickly.  Tonight Mike and I were supposed to go out with some friends, but they had to cancel. So maybe we will do something, just the two of us. That would be nice. I would love to see a movie or get dinner. Any good movies playing right now? I will have to check the kerasotes.com site to see what they have here.   Hugs,

Good morning everyone! I know Floyd & Brenda probably won't be seeing this post for a few weeks...unless they check for a cyber cafe or cyber connection on the cruise (the cruise I took in 2005 had a small cyber cafe..and some of the amusement parks last summer did..so Disney probably does). I do hope they have a really good time on their trip. They have been so excited about it. Can you imagine being able to go to Disney post-op and being able to fit in any & all the rides..and to go with someone who is also post-op and who will be experiencing that same thrill??? I remember my first King's Island post-op...I loved it! After their fun at Disney, they are then going on a cruise...with losers from all around the country!! They have been busy chatting with these folks and are meeting up with them. Yes, Floyd & Brenda truly belong on our Indiana board...we do all love meeting other losers, huh? I can't imagine a more fulfilling trip! Unless of course all of my loser friends on here can make the trip with me & Bill...now that would be a blast!! Ah well...hopefully this summer we can meet others at Indiana Beach campgrounds and then us all take the ferry over to the amusement park and ride the CornBall Express. LOL! Bill & I enjoyed it as much or more than we did most of the coasters that we were on last summer (and we had went to 6 different amusement parks last summer including Cedar Point).  I'll be going soon to become a porcupine for Midwest Medical lab at Community East. At least we didn't have to go all the way to the hemophilia center to get my blood checked today. There is one lab tech at Community East that is fantastic. I so hope I can get her!! I don't want to get stuck 4 times again like I had to on Tuesday. That's a pain...literally. Dr. Bergman's nurse called me back yesterday so I was able to bring her up to speed on what was happening. Since her schedule is going to be the one that is tough to work around (according to Dr. Gupta herself), it's good that she has a head's up. Dr. Gupta's nurse never called me back! We'll see if she does today but somehow, I doubt it. Back before Christmas, the visiting nurse in charge of my care, Joe, didn't like the way my wound was looking and wanted me to get in to see Dr. Gupta ASAP. I called there and explained it to the one who maks the appointments...she transferred me to Dr. Gupta's nurse's line. Of course, I got her voicemail. I left a message...in which she has NEVER called me back, at all! It's a good thing that the wound improved on it's own..huh? If I don't get a reply back from this call either, I'm going to have a talk with Dr. Gupta about her. Neither time did I leave enough information for Dr. Gupta to be able to make a decision and to decide I didn't need to come in or that they didn't need anymore information from me. That is so frustrating!  Gail hon..I hope your email is behaving a little better now! It was so good talking with you yesterday. I do hope you're able to make it tomorrow night! I meant it...if your daughter can't bring you..and if Dawn isn't coming or can't bring you, call me & Bill & I will come pick you up!! I have a SUV so there is plenty of room! I'm going to put a separate post about tomorrow night....look for it!! Hope you all can make it! huggs... Sherri

Linda~ Hubby and I went to see The Bucket List a couple weeks ago, it was pretty good.  Just an idea for you. Hope everyone has a good weekend, I have to come and grade skills tomorrow morning for our EMT class we are doing, then Sunday we are having a training session at 1pm, at least I can sleep in that day since I dont have to leave so early.   Have a good one and stay warm Jenny

Hi everyone,   Floyd & Brenda, I hope you have a wonderful, fun filled trip!!! I really envy you getting to go be in the sunshine & warm weather!!! Rollercoasters, rides, swimming and sun, oh my!!!   Well, today I am off to see the twins! Mike is home on Fridays, so I have the day free.I have missed seeing them, & Amy is ready for some help.Yesturday Willow & I spent 2 hrs. at the Library-- they have a pre-school computer with games she can learn from, and it gets her out of that apt. Jax went to WildBirds Unltd. with his boy Scout troop, so we had the girl time together. We did do game time last night plus they love to watch "How it's made" before bedtime, so it was a full day for us.The only thing I don't like is the long drive home ,ohwell, gotta do what a Grammy's gotta do!!    Hope you get that phone call Sherri!!!!  I know you are more than ready to get this over with!!! I'm sorry we won't make the outing together. Have a great time visiting with everyone, & eat a crab leg for me.   Jo, Keeping my prayers and thoughts your way, I've been where you are, so if you need me, just pm. ok?         I am feeling alittle better- the meds. the Dr. put me on work pretty fast, so i hope to be my old "self" again soon. I know my toilet paper bill has doubled in the past month- I know TMI!!  have a great day everyone, and hug yourself for me!!! ((((((hugs)))))) Ellen

Ellen, Dr. Greist office called and the results were in already...4.1! YAY!! 4.0 or above is considered 'normal' and she said that anything over 3.5 would have been ok. So..her office has contacted Dr. Bergman's & Dr. Gupta's to give the green light. It's up to Heather at Dr. Gupta's to do the scheduling and she's usually on top of things fairly well so HOPEFULLY I'll hear something today or Monday as to the new surgery date. Dr. Greist is going to keep me off of coumadin for at least 2 weeks post-op (and me on injections similar to lovenox) so that my whire cell count doesn't drop when I am in my early stages of being a post-op. After that, they are going to put me on coumadin but monitor my blood very closely. If the white cells start dropping again, they are going to see if the insurance would approve of me just being on the injections for 3 months (which costs WAY more than coumadin) or possibly taking me off of everything since I'd only be on it for 3 months anyway. The worse thing is that I would have to have very frequent blood tests...which with as bad as my veins are is horrble news for me. Remember, they had to stick me 4 times last Tuesday! So...I may have to have a pic line put in to make that part a little easier (unfortunately, it increases the risks of infections and blood clots...what we are testing for to begin with!). So..I guess I'll just wait & see. I'll let you know if I hear more... love ya! Sherri
