Another Last Supper...

Well...this last supper may or may not be for me also. If the doctors don't get the green light until late this afternoon, I doubt that they'll be able to get it scheduled..much less let me know...by the time they leave for the weekend. I will be totally amazed if they are able to get it scheduled for next weeks too. I just hope Dr. Bergman and the operating room has a 4 hour free slot! Dr. Gupta has already said that her schedule is such that she'd be able to make it! So.... This Last Supper is DEFINATELY for our Miss Jo-Mac! Jodi is having a total hysterectomy Monday at St. Vincent on 86th street. We wi**** was due to minor issues but Jodi was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. Jodi (like so many others..including myself) has a history of lymphatic cancer in her family so a 'successful' surgery would be not only that the cancer is all removed but that none of the surrounding lymph nodes are in any stage of being cancerous as well. Cancer is a VERY scary word..but add the risk of lymphatic cancer and it about stops you in your tracks. For me, it did last year about this time when my son was diagnosed with tetesticular cancer. I was finally able to breathe again when his abdominal lymph nodes were all removed and came back negative. So please everyone, if you can make it to this last supper, do. Jodi needs all the support she can get from everyone she knows! Please come and let Jodi know that you're keeping her in your thoughts & prayers. When:  Saturday, January 26th at 5 pm Where: New Century China Buffet 8143 Pendleton Pike, Lawrence, 317-895-9887 *If you need help with the directions, let me know...but let me know where you are coming from or what major highway (65/70/74/465) that you would normally take to get to the east side of Indy. Reminder:  There is all-you-can -eat crab legs on the buffet! Not bad when you consider that non-bariatric couples can get out of there for less than $20! I think they usually give new post-ops the child's rate..which is like $1-2 off.  Let me know if you plan on coming & how many people will be with you so that we can be sure to get enough table-space all together. Cancer is scarey no matter who has it but you have enough prayers going out for you that I can't help thinking this is going to be just a bump in the road for you!! If anyone is heading from down this way and wouldn't mind a passenger I wouldn't mind going. Mainly because I can't drive on these pain meds..

Sherri and Jo, I wish I could make it, but I wor****il 11 pm tonight, and just don't think anyone would want to see me after a long day like, and especially since it woulnd't be until almost 2 am by the time I find it......everyone else would be sound asleep.  Enjoy your meals, and have a great time talking to everyone.  Good luck and ttyl!
