Good morning everyone! I got to start off my day with a nice long visit with Tiffany (daughter) and Nikki (my son's gf). It's rare that Tiffany comes over without Rod (her dh) so it was pretty cool for the 3 of us to have a girl-gab fest! Bill stayed in the other room most of the time they were here.  I plan on calling Jodi this afternoon. Mornings can be so busy at a hospital..and especially so if she's getting ready to be discharged. I'll post an update though as soon as I do talk with her...if there's anything new or additional to pass on anyway. I'll be sure to pass on to her Gail that you are praying for her! As well as everyone else who had responded to yesterday's update. Happy Birthday Vicki. I'm sorry, but we won't be driving over to the west side tonight. When the roads have any snow/ice, it makes me too scared to drive right now. My SUV has 4 wheel drive so it's not my vehicle I'm worried about. I'm just worried that someone else would lose control and hit me. I think it'd be too big of a risk with my belly the way it is right now for the steering wheel or even the air bag to hit it. So..when the roads are like this, I'll only drive if Bill or I have a doctor's appointment...otherwise, I don't risk it. I do hope you & Jim have a great time though and I hope others are able to make it there to help you celebrate!! You all have a good day! Sherri

Happy Birthday Vicki... Hope everyones doing well! I'm so glad to finally be moved. We got ice and ice and more ice last night. It was just nasty! We went out to check on Rich's aunt and cousin who had a fire yesterday. It burnt their whole garage (including an old vehicle of his aunt her very first car she was hoping to have restored and a bunch of stuff). The garage was a total loss and there was probally close to 8-10k worth of stuff that was destroyed. We're just thankful and praising God that it didn't get to their house or working vehicle. They say it was an electrical fire started by a heater they had in there trying to keep their pipes thawed out after they froze up but they never un froze and the garage burnt. I hate that they live there it's a long story but his aunt has a house here in town that shes letting her ex live in that has all brand new appliances etc from when she bought it and shes living in their old house with their 13 year old with faulty wiring, a furnace that hardly works so it's freezing and nooo working appliances at all now (the stove quit a couple weeks ago). I really hope this helps her realize what a danger that house really is and that she will trade houses with the ex. Shes such an awesome and amazing person and I hate that she allows herself to be trampled on all because her son doesn't wanna leave his 4 wheeler and stuff but the 4 wheeler is gone and burnt up so hopefully he'll be okay to move now. We stay out of it because she has enough people telling her how bad she is and all that stuff.. I just hope and pray they stay safe I worry so much about them. We even try to get his cousin to come over here and we'll take him to school or whatever. Anyways I'm just plum exhausted still. Thankful that the gtube is staying put without a stitch. This new g-tube is much better than the last so I'm just glad that it's not migrating. I'm trying to take it easy the next few days then Monday it's back to the gym full force.. I blogged on my profile if anyones interested. Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary! Wow it's hard to believe it's been that long.. happy friday. it seems that i got the snow day while the rest of you did not. we've got about 7ish inches of snow. i need to seriously think about going outside to shovel it, but i always end up hurting myself. :( but if i wait until tomorrow it will harden up and get worse. i already hear everyone else's snowblowers out. i guess i just need to suck it up and join the neighbors. hopefully, the county will try to plow the street today. my subdivision is always last because we're a block outside the city limits. :( oh well. such is life. my new bed was supposed to arrive today, but the truck slid off into a ditch (twice) so they decided to call it quits and deliver it tomorrow. seriously, who tries to move mattresses in this kind of weather? silly warehouse people. however, that won't stop me from adding the finishing touches to the room. :) i'm off to snow and hanging up pictures and decorations. hope everyone has a good day.
