Good Saturday Morning

Good morning all!  I guess some of people get to sleep in since I am the first one posting.  I am jealous, I wished I was sleeping in, but I can tomorrow. Working today, it will be a lax day at work unless we get slammed with calls.  I will probably lay on the couch and be a couch potato for the most part.  Who knows!  I work a 12 hr. shift today so I dont get off until 7pm.  Well everyone have a good day! Good morning everyone! Last night was another one of those nights that I just could not stay asleep! Grrrr!! At 7:15, I gave up and got up. Here it is almost 9 and Bill is still asleep so he must have had a up & down night too. I've been busy getting all the window updates done on my pc and defragging and all that good stuff. I usually do it about every 2 months or so. This time, I wanted it all done before I install/download the TaxCut software. So..I think I'll get it set up today and then put on my accounting hat tomorrow. It feels good to not be trying to squeeze it in between working. (or between working at Lilly's & working at our bar..when we had it). I'll be surprised if the IRS doesn't question it this year...we have over $17,000 out of pocket medical expenses for 2007! Yep, we should get a little bit back (which..my half will be used to make up for the loss in my income while I've been off..wippee!..but I'm so thankful to be having it coming in!).  Well..you all have a really good day today! Good morning, all. I hope that everyone is enjoying their Saturday and Groundhogs day too. We can't  forget the poor groundhog!! After all it is his day today. lol I don't think he is going to see his shadow today because the sun isn't out. At least not here. But then we live in Indiana and so we all know that there is going to be 6 more weeks of winter and that is if we are lucky. I have my big baby shower today. I finally figured out what I am going to wear. I didn't know until late last night. I haven't got that many "nice" clothes to wear and I guess I must be cheap because I just don't want to pay a lot of money for something that I am going to wear one time. I got a nice pair of grey dress pants given to me (in a sze 18  woooohooo!) and a nice sweater that I am not going to be able to wear much longer. I asked Bill if they looked nice and he said yes so I am going to go with that. There is going to be several people there that haven't seen me since surgery and a few that don't even know that I had it done. I am wanting to look as little as possible!!!! I kept asking Bill "Do I look big in this?". I am sure he got tired of hearing that question.  He is a man and I know that he doesn't understand us women. lol We didn't get as much snow as they were calling for. I guess we got about 8" instead of the foot they were telling us we were going to get. I am glad that happened. I always like it when the weather man errs on our side. Sarah ( the girl who is having the baby for the shower today) had to come up from Indy. Her and Matt live down there. I know she called and said that they got ice and they were still planning on coming last night unless Ella told them different. They got here about 7:30 last night.  I guess I better get going. I have some things to do before I leave for the shower. I better get going and do them. I have found in my almost 54 years that the  doesn't come and do things. At least not in my house she doesn't. I thought the whole idea of groundhog day is IF they SEE their shadow they get scared and go back down for another 6 weeks of winter but if it is overcast then spring is coming sooner... Who knows with violent thunderstorms ripping roofs off and tearing trees out by roots in the midle of winter.. the weather is just getting freaky... looks like 50 degrees next wqeek... Hi all!  I always read your daily messages but I never post.  So today, I told myself, "Self, you will post something today! :) I'm meeting some of my best friends later today who I haven't seen in a few months.  They are taking me out for my "last supper" to Cheesrburger In Paradise in Greenwood.  My surgery isn't until next Monday, but I've been trying to fit in about 10 "last suppers!"  It seems so funny to me.  Everyone I know wants to take me out to dinner before I "can't eat again."  lol  Hey, who am I to pass up a free meal!?!?!  I'm definitely a lucky person to have so much support.   Well, I need to finish up some homework.  Working to get all of my school and work loose ends tied up before I'm off for 4 weeks has been trying, but so definitely worth it!!  Take care everyone.  Have a great weekend! Nikki, I am glad you finally decided to post.  Your surgery is coming up real soon.  I had Dr Gupta too and I loved her.  I had a lot of last suppers too and gained like 10 lbs because of it.  It was crazy!  Well good luck with your surgery and post as soon as you can to let us know how you done. Well I think I've spoken too soon.  My tube is starting to migrate into my tummy again (I busted the stitch sometime between dressing changes on Tues and Wednesday) but its going much slower and all. I've got it taped and hopefully stabilized so that I can avoid another ER visit or anything. Hopefully it'll stay put til Monday atleast. Other than that nothing big going on around here I'm just plum exhausted still. I can't seem to get enough sleep lately its weird. Anyways I don't really know what else to say hehehe. I wish Spring would get here already!!!

my day did not start off very well, and i've got a big, giant, heinous bruise on my tookus and thigh to prove it. i slipped on the wet linolieum in the bathroom and did the splits. i landed on a metal paint tray. let's just say i hurt. oh, and i almost got ran over by someone backing out of a parking spot at lowes. yeah, peachy. but there's always a bright side. i'm going to finish drying my sheets, make my bed, and take a nap on the new mattress. yes, bright sides. i need to repeat that mantra. :D oh, and misty. why can't they just take out the gtube if it's causing you so many problems? can you not live without it now?
