Approved-"Normal" here I come??!

Oh my goodness we could ALL make money writing our "horror/embarrassing" stories couldn't we? Sad comment on society..When in reality the "norm" IS to be overweight!  Docs can be the worst!! My PCP (who has been off and on supportive of the WLS at least he wrote the note for the insurance so hugs to him for that!) ..during my check up today he said that he was anxious to see me after surgery and see how much I lose.  He added I should be more accepted by society –“you were born a few centuries too late to be socially acceptable as overweight as you are.” I just had to smile--He is skinny of course.  Hopefully they will all live and learn FROM US!

Thankfully my PCP has been very supportive. I actually asked him for the referrel and all he never mentioned my weight to me even though I KNOW it was an issue since I was diabetic and all. My Allergy/asthma doc's partner made a comment to me at a couple months post op about  "wow your losing weight and your really looking good, your so pretty now and she also made a comment bout how much my asthma was gonna be soo much better" I laughed bout that because its mostly allergy induced and last I checked skinny folks have allergies too but I walked out of the office thinking okay was I grotesquely ugly preop because of being overweight or what lol.
