Kinda Lonely...

I am the most independent person I know.  My friends and family all tell me that they can't believe I moved so far by myself without knowing anyone first.  I love it here I really do...  but I need to get some friends!! Cause this whole staying home alone every night thing is killing me!! 

Well if you were closer I'd suggest we could catch a flick or something but I'm way far away.. Anyways I'm going to the chatroom feel free to join me?

Hang in there!! I moved here from Missouri knowing no one but my inlaws! I made friends over the past couple years but I do a lot of things by myself. Kinda used to it now. I hope things get better! hugs, Amanda

Hmmm wonder if theres any good radio stations in Terre Haute Rich can get on full time at with good benefits. :P Seriously I'm a loner here too and I HATE doing things alone. It's to the point that I spend more time with my DH's grandma (who is a miserable old soul and I hope my spending time with her helps some) than I do with anyone. I love her dearly but we're soo different and shes very paranoid (swears the government is poisoning us by dropping germs and allergens from airplanes to keep the hospital in business) and stuff hehe.

I'm actually going to be in Terre Haute tomorrow for a career fair at ISU for my job.    I'm sure it'll be fine just every once and awhile I get pretty bored and it reminds me how far away everyone is.

OMG, Misty you crack me up girl. She needs to me this Guy I work with. He's like 25 but hangs out with his Gma and Gpa so you would think he was 70 and thinks the goverment is out to get us.  Shanna

Oh dear Shanna thats not even half of what shes tried to convince me of lol. My DH's aunt and cousin's garage recently burned down and her line of placing blame usually is like this : 1) The government (USUALLY it's always Bush's fault hehe) 2) The hispanics (shes the most racist person I know which is one reason I HATE going out in public with her even though she has calmed down with me because I've told her on more than 1 occasion that it offends me) and if neither one of those can be blamed it's usually Dh's aunts fault lol. See I get along with his aunt a great deal because shes like another mom to me and her and I have so mu*****ommon (even though shes double my age) hehe. Both of our mothers have golden children that can do no wrong and we're both constantly reminded that we were not wanted and our births weren't planned. Soo Rosea gets the blame for everything.

WHy is it that Older people feel that they can say anything they want. I work at DQ, Old people hang out, They are so mean. I just try to kill'em with kindness. I am sorry they are so miserable. Be thankful you're alive Geesh!

Yea when I worked in management with Burger King we had a lot of regulars that were older and they were all very sweet and nice to me but rude to others. A couple of them actually left because I wasn't working there anymore. I mean I was the type to go out of my way to help people. I would tell them to have a seat and I'd carry their tray/food to them and stuff when I wasn't busy just like a sit down restaurants. Half the time I had their orders on a tray before they got to the register. I LOVED working there it was my favorite job ever (and it helped that the first 3.5 years of the over 4 years I worked there we had the same crew on mornings/dayshift which you know being a fast food facility is awesome) we had the lowest turn over rates in the whole state of KY. I've been thinking bout going back to restaurants if I don't find a job soon. I'm just worried because I have enough issues with my appetite being non existant and when I worked at BK I'd see food so much I never had an appetite towards the end.
