I'm getting ready to go to the office.  I have a big to do list for this morning because I'll be out of the office tomorrow for a career fair (in Terre Haute) and Thursday because I promised a friend I would do some interpreting. Today have a service unit meeting at 6:30, so lets hope I get everything done. My goals today are: 1. Get in my exercise even though I'm busy 2. Make healthy food choices (yesterday I caved on some Girl Scout cookies) 3. Get all my work caught up before I leave Well I'd better get ready... hope you all have a great day!!

Mornin' Posse! Well I had a BAD night last night so not gonna do to much today except clean the fridge...trash goes out tonight...LOL I might  even get started on reading another book. Gonna be rainy all day today...better get the Ark built! I had ANOTHER "disagreement" with my X last night on the phone...and was feeling pretty useless and depressed (always happens when I talk to him...he knows what buttons to push and pushes them) anyway Mark, my luvin polock just holds me and lets me cry and tells me how much he loves me and how good a mom and wife I am...Makes it all better eventually. THEN the dang Thunderstorms...I am SCARED TO DEATH of lightning and thunder..I was in a tornado when I was 8. Last night Mark said good thing I had the surgery cause I really MOVED FAST to get closer to him and cover up my head when the worst part of the lightning was happening...he even said he thought it hit the tree in the front yard! Anyway...enough rambling.... Y'all stay dry! Be safe and have a smiley day! hugggggggggs Janene

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.

Good morning everyone! Last night was kinda wierd in the Johnson household. I woke up about every hour to go potty. If the intestines (from the hernia) are sitting low, it puts pressure on my bladder...although usually it only wakes me up 2-3 times a night..not 6. I never heard the storm or the rain. Each time, I looked in on Bill & he was sleeping soundly. He got up before me. I did at 7:30 and I think he did ~7. But..he knew all about the storm & rain and said it was really loud. Strange, huh? I get to pick up my dry cleaning today! Yay! Jodi's mom sent a leather/suade shirt/jacket to me at the last clothing exchange. I was bringing some other stuff to the dry cleaners so I thought I'd get it all spiffied up & ready for spring-wear. Can you believe it cost $35!?!? A pair of leather shorts (also thank you to Jodi's mom ) was $25!!! Shoot, there wasn't even much to them babies. I think I'll be checking around for a different dry cleaners. He only charged me $5 each for 2 cloth suit jackets..but one of them had some kind of stain (I don't know what it was...the suits were ones I got at the clothing exchange)..and it came back with the stain still there. I hope they do a better job than that with the leather/suade jacket! Bill had his eye appointment yesterday. Dr. Price scheduled him for 2 surgeries on his cornea. The cornea has many, many layers and when they do a cornea transplant (donor or artificial), they leave several layers of the existing cornea so that it attaches itself to the transplanted one. For Bill, with his anaritia, his eye looks at the transplant as something to be healed over...not as something to integrate with the existing cornea. It does this by growing scar tissue and by extending blood vessels across the cornea to try to close..what it thinks of ..a gap. The more it does this, the less Bill can see. Each new cornea transplant Bill has had has been due to not being able to see through the blood vessles, not because of rejection of the cornea itself. With donor corneas though, the only way to remove the blood vessels is by removing several layers of the cornea itself and replacing it. Since Bill's last cornea transplant was an artificial one, the blood vessels & scar tissue is around and on it..not 'in' it as happens with donor 'tissue' ones. The first surgery will be on Feb. 19th, and it is to remove tissue around the cornea and on top of the artificial cornea. That tissue is full of scar tissue & blood vessels...which is blocking Bill's vision. The layers on top of the artificial cornea are layers of human cornea so Bill's vision is expected to decrease after this is done. ~6 weeks later (April 9th) will be to put in some donor tissue around/on top of the artificial cornea. After that, hopefully, Bill's vision will improve some. Since this is all a part of the anaritia, Bill will probably have to have this process repeated every 1-2 years...for as long as they can anyway. We appreciate everyone who has been keeping Bill in their prayers. I can't even imagine what it would be like knowing that my eyesight could be completely gone within a matter of a short period. Bill, I believe, knows that his vision is living on borrowed time now. I hope everyone has a good day today! Stay dry if you can. Sherri

Gail,  Sorry you're having some winter blues. You should join a gym. It's good for you physically and mentally. Good luck with that.
