Southern IN meetup??

Jacqui do you have one day of the week that is better than the others?? I know LaChelle is off work on Mondays and Tuesdays if her work schedule hasn't changed. I'm not working right now so as long as I have notice most days are okay for me.

Misty, Right now I can meet on any night but Tuesday and Wednesday.  My daughter has things she does on those nights.  Wednesdays will be open after March. Jacqui

Hello from Southern Indiana.  My sister Christine Bennett replied to your inquiry and told me about it.  I live in Huntinburg, Indiana and would love to get together with anyone in the area who has shared the experience of obesity surgery or is thinking about surgery.   I belong to a support group that meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at 6:30 PM Eastern Time at Memorial Hospital in Jasper Indiana.  We are a relatively new group (meeting since September 2007) and are going pretty strong with both pre op and post op persons.  We always welcome new intrested people.  Memorial Hospital sponsers the group.  All the attendees have had their surgeries at other hospitals since Memorial is just starting their obesity surgery program.  Many atendee's have had their surgery at St Vincents.  I had my surgery 9-26-2006  at Norton Surburban in Louisville.  I will post more information tomorrow on the forum page after I verify the address and room number information. I have lost aprox 95 lbs and am holding my own.  I am struggling a little to lose the last 10 lbs I need to get to my ideal weight.  So far my surgeon, Dr David Geller is pleased because I have lost more than 80% of my excess weight.  Still  I need a boost mentally to keep going. Overall I am thrilled with the progress I have made thus far and do feel a great acomplishment!   I have a new life not toting around all that extra weght. I will close now but will get back with the information tomorrow. Hi Mary I have been to the group at Memorial a couple of times I probably met you there.  I think they are going to have a pretty good group since they have plenty of us that go there that are a year or more out.  For me its hard to get there on time since I'm in Spencer county and on the "other time" that just bugs me to death but anyway.  Great job on the 95 lbs and good luck on the next 10. Mary, I would LOVE to attend a meeting in Jasper. I am only 25 minutes from there and I have Tuesdays off.  Just let me know when and what time the next one is, and I will be there with bells on!!!  TTYL
