just venting
i am getting sooo frustrated with dr inmans office. i had my one on one with her 3 and a half weeks ago and made sure they had everything they needed to submit to insurance. i have heard nothing from them. i emailed colleen on tuesday to see where we were and have heard nothing. iknow she can be slow about returning phone calls but was told she is really good about replying to emails.all i am looking for is a quick "yes" or "no" to "have we submitted?" i dont want to bug them too much and make them mad or something, i just know that once it is submitted, i really need to pester medicaid or i will be waiting forever. thanks for listening.
Heidi I am sorry it's taking a while. I started getting frustrated and impatient but then one day out of the blue I got a phone call telling me it was submitted. Is it possible Colleen is on vacation and someone else is covering that doesn't have her email access?? I know Amy the insurance coordinator with Dr. Cacucci's office only worked 3 days a week when I was going through approval and she was on vacation a few of those days when all my stuff was going on. Keep your head up hon!! I can't wait to see you post about getting your date!
i am even more frustrated now than before. my daughter just informed me that i saw dr inman 30 days ago today. thats 4 and a half weeks almost. i called colleen and got stuck with her voicemail. i hate not being able to talk to a living person, you never seem to get anywhere. i left a message but i have heard she can be even slower at returning phone calls than emails. how often should i bug them?
If I was you I would go ahead and call your insurance and see if they have received anything.
I believe it took Colleen 3 weeks to send my stuff in if not later. If you were going through a center then it takes about a week for the center to send everything to Inmans office then it takes Inmans office about 2-3 weeks to get it sent off to Insurance for approval. Colleen did tell me they were doing something with the computers also.
Like I said in another post. Dr. Inman is very popular. So it seems everyone wants her to be their doctor. The Downfall of having her as a doctor is the long waiting period for everything involving her.
Here is hoping for a speedy approval for you.

I also dislike never being able to talk to a person first hand. Not just with my surgeon's office either. I'm talking about with ALL my doctors it's like that now exception of my Asthma doctor (most the time) and PCP. It's insane..
I do say maybe call her on Mondays and Fridays?? So your not calling daily BUT your making sure she knows your interested. Maybe even fire an email off on Wednesday if you don't hear nothing.
I too would call the insurance company. They can tell you whether or not the paperwork has been submitted. I called mine several times before Colleen had submitted the paperwork. After I called them, I would email her to let her know that I had called, and they hadn't received the paperwork.
I know that colleen has 2 emails:
[email protected]
[email protected]
and Melissa helps her when she is busy or away
[email protected]
Hope this helps.

Please hang in there- it does take alot of time to process your paperwork- just think- you are one of MANY she has in the works.(I know it's hard, but it is soooo worth it!!!)
Don't give in to the frustration & eat- either,ok??!!!
We are here for you!
I know it took 6 weeks for me to hear the process was complete- mainly because my PCP/Phy./ INS. were slow getting their paperwork to her so she could file it. It took Colleen 4 weeks dealing with what they kept asking for, and making sure they have every bit of Info the Ins. requires.
I know it's frustrating waiting, but it will be worth it in the end-wishing you smooth sailing into healthy living!!!!
