Not Good News!

I am so sorry Janene. I, too just recived the phone call that my Grandpa passed away. I have never heard my Dad cry before.The funeral  is going to be themed Ohio State. My Grandpa was a big Ohio State fan. We are all wearing our Ohio State clothes and he is being buried In his Ohio State hat and Shirt and jeans(i am sure overalls, too).I just can not believe he is gone. I took this pic and its in my scrapbook. I wanted to share it with you my OH FAMILY. This is my Grandma and Grandpa Heath Anna, Ohio I took this of them on their front porch.9/2002 I will miss him dearly! He is Heaven right now watching Nascar, Ohio State and The horse Races. Shanna

Shanna, My thoughts are with you and your family during this most difficult time. I lost my grandpa almost exactly 1 year ago-Feb 12, 07 and although I know that he is in another place and happier and without pain, I sure do miss him. You have a great pic of your grandparents and lots of memories of him also. Keep all of those things near in your heart and know that he is keeping a watch over you and your family. If he enjoys NASCAR as you said, he enjoyed the race tonight. Maybe he and my grandfather were in each others company, helping us BOTH along our difficult times. I am so sorry for your loss.. I understand about your dad because you just are never old enough to loose a parent.. No matter the age it hurts the same.. I lost my dad a year ago in Nov. and even though I am"old" it hurt!! It sounds like you are sending him out with a celebration!!! Celebrating his life not his death!! Good for you!! I want everyone to celebrate Hawaii..(my favorite vacation) when I go..Just dont put me in a hula skirt!

Shanna~ I was sooooooo sorry to hear about your Grandpa...please take comfort in knowing how very much he loved you and what a wonderful life he had.  Be safe on the road trip to Ohio..and may God wrap  his loving arms around you and your family. hugggggggs Janene

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers and to Vicki and Jim for the card. You guys on here are the best. I never thought such people existed until I found OH. Hold your loved ones tight next time you see them because you never know when they will leaves us. Shanna

I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will treasure your memories of him and all the wonderful times together. Having lost both of my parents, 17 days apart & all of my grandparents, I do understand your pain.It is never easy, but such a blessing to know they are in heaven- where there is no more pain or sorrow.I 'm thinking of & praying for you.  (((((hugs))))) Ellen

Shanna, I am so sorry for you loss. I know how it is when you lose someone that you love so much. Grandpas are special. I know because mine was to me. I lost him just before my 8th birthday but he left such an impact on my life, I still carry him with me to this day, 45 years later. When people are so special they are always here with us because they live on in our hearts. I will remember you and your family in my prayers. Please be safe and may God's angels be with you on your trip.
