OT...Feeling down and out
The past 3 days have been bad for me and my family...today I was in the room with my cousins and mother and my wonderful hubby when my 94 year old aunt passed away. I know it was for the best....she had a feeding tube..she pulled it out...did surgery...didn't know when the tear happened...washed the intestines...but too much poison inside...kidneys were failing...so this morning we got the call about 8am and later in the afternoon the ventilator was removed and she passed. I have never seen someone die before...not having a good night with my emotions...nothing wants to stay down...I can keep water down...but pouchy is definately not liking food. Mark is going to perform the funeral (he is an ordained minister) so please say prayers for him and also for my family. I know my aunt is in heaven...a better place and she lived a wonderful full life.
Thanks my OH family.

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.
"His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me..."
It is hard to see someone die in front of your eyes. And not be able to do anything. You can only try to find peace with knowing she's in God's House now. I remember when I told the ER doctor to let my baby Lucy go. (Nothing was helping her.) Later on, something that helped with the feelings was remembering the Lord's Prayer, "Thy will be done." I had and have to remember that it's not my will that is to be done.
Janene,
I am thinking of you and praying for you. Having lost both of my parents 17 days apart, I do understand how you feel. God is in the midst of your sorrow. The blessing we have is knowing they are with Him, where there is no more pain or sorrow.I will life Mark up to the Lord and ask that He speak thru him and that your family is blessed by the words he speaks. May you feel His peace and arms surrounding you at this time & in the days ahead.

Hi Janene,
I'm sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it can be. I was there when my grandmother passed last September and it was the first time for me also. But I knew she was ready to go, because she had told me so herself. So, however much we will miss them, we have to remember that they are no longer in pain or sick and they have peace now. We will continue to miss them, but as time passes, it gets easier to remember all of the good times we spent together. You are in my thoughts.
