24 hours

Well, in 24 hours I will be on the losers side with many of you.  Not sure how I'm feeling today.  Actually, I'm trying not to think about it!  I'm just trying to keep busy getting things ready, cleaning, finishing up finals for school...etc.  I haven't been a bit nervous, just very excited.  I'm waiting for those nerves to kick in any minute though.  Any last minute advice?  See y'all on the other side!    Hugs!!! Nikki, Dr. Gupta is fantastic. Tell her I said hi..lol. I'll be seeing her in the OR on March 3rd. I have 100% complete faith in her. She knows her stuff & you are in excellent hands! Are you having the RNY or lapband? I had the RNY by lap. I, like you, also try to stay busy pre-op and not think about it. You'll do great! Sherri

Congrats Nikki!  Tomorrow will be here before you know it.  I was the same way.  I didn't really feel nervous, just excited.  I think I was more nervous about getting to the hospital on time then I was about the procedure itself.  My surgery was on 2/1 - that's when we were supposed to get all that snow that we didn't get :)  As far as last minute advice, I would say...bring some chap stick...my lips were sooo dry after surgery.  Everyone at St. V's was wonderful.  You are in good hands.   See you on the other side!! well girlie you are gonna be stunning when your all and done  well save a seat for you and the wait is over now and the weight  is gonna be gone before you know it

NIKKI,   You are going to be in good hands, and the staff is wonderful! Ask for the banana popcycles, & the custard- yum!!! Don't forget to take slip- on shoes/slippers for your walks & sweats for your ride home. Other than that-walk, sip, and take it a day at a time!!! Your new ,healthy life is on its way and I am wishing you all the best!!!!! (((((hugs))))) Ellen
