I want to crawl back in bed, but I can't. Oh well. I will probably be able to tomorrow morning, since we are now under a winter storm WARNING!!!! They are calling for 3-6 inches of snow and ice! UGGH! lol  Time to get to the store and stock up on drinks for the family then. Have a wonderful day. Jimmy and I are going to get our eyes checked.  My old glasses keep falling off, and it has been years since I had a check-up anyway, so I will probably be getting new ones today.  I may even go with contacts this time. I have been afraid of them for years, and so that has always stopped me before.  I know that I look so much better without glasses, and I don't want to fool with them anymore. This is going to be fun! LOL Gotta run! TTYL!

Good morning! How are you all? I hope well. I was so UNHAPPY this morning. I weighed and I was a pound up above my comfort zone --- 161 this morning. I know it's possible it's just  water, but I weigh every morning and I have told myself over and over, if I gain a pound I want to know it. So I was thinking this morning, I can either figure I'll fail and gain the weight back, or do something today while it's one pound. So, back to the basics, no more slacking off. PEW. I'm already packed to go to the Y tonight.  My weekend was pretty good. I worked all weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, but it wasn't so bad. We had a meeting SUnday night at Sears for cashiers, and I was recognized by the manager for doing a good job. That was nice. I got a neat little pin to put on my name tag lanyard.  Today or tomorrow evenings, I'm planning to go in to the salon and get the grays covered!

Hi ,  I am up early trying to get my lunches ready for the next few days ahead to take to work. I'm working at the flower shop all week, so I'll be "smelling the roses"!!UMMMMMM!!!!!!By the end of the week, I will be a blooming nut-hee~hee!I may have sore fingers & feet, but hopefully I'll help bring a smile or two to some lucky gal or guy!!Can't help it if I am cupids helper-!  Got a call last night from Amy & Tony- they had to take Aiden into the ER- he has RSV virus- which is very dangerous for little ones. They have to let it run its course, & hope that it doesn't go into phneumonia. They think Bethany may be getting it as well, since she was coughing alot lately.  Please say a prayer for them both, & Mommy & Daddy, too.  **LaChelle, good luck with your eye exam! The cost has come down & they have improved them so much, so if you want contacts,go for it!! My grandson was all excited about our "next big snow"- after the last one bypassed us, I'm not too crazy about running to the store to stock up on stuff that sits here. No wonder my cabinets are over-full! Especially with snack junk- Dana & Nick have to have their munchies around ,but 5 bags-geeze!It reminds me of my old "grazing" days! **Linda- you are as star in my book!!!! So glad to hear you got some recognition for all of your hard work!! Well, time to hit the shower- have a great day everyone, & keep warm!!!! (((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) Ellen

Ellen,.... I don't want to be too scary, but PLEASE tell them to insist that the babies be carefully monitored while they have this. It is VERY dangerous for the little tiny ones. If they feel more comfortable, even have them insist on having the babies admitted and monitored. I would do that if I was in their situation in a heartbeat. RSV is what my Lucy had when she died from SIDS. I think it was more the RSV, but that they listed SIDS on the ceritifcate to avoid a lawsuit. They didn't hospitalize her, they just sent her home with us. We were young, and didn't know how dangerous it was for a newborn. I'm sorry, I don't want to be too frightening, but I want you to know, that if you all are worried to be made to feel bad for insisting on more care. AS much care as you need to feel assured. They are in my prayers for a healthy recovery.

Good Morning, I had a nice week end. My "man friend" is doing much better, he's  even out of ICU. My "computer Angel" got my new pic on. Watched the Grammeies last night, I thought it was pretty good. I noticed a few of OH'ers had losses, you are all in my prayers. And those that are /not feeling to good, I send healthy blessings. Got an email fm my angel /elf telling me they had not forgot, I didn't think they did it was so thoughtful getting an email. . I think I might try to get a few  didn't sleep to good last night. Zzzzz's / nap is needed. Everyone try to stay warm, Hugs & Blessings, Gail

Oh my goodness..you all are waaaay too cheerful for me this morning! LOL I have a horrible cold
and get this..I know I can tolerate sugar up to a certain point..being 4 yrs out and all..I took some liquid Robitussin for coughs and cold yesterday..Oh..wow..dump city!

That felt worse than this miserable cold..so that was interesting to me..I tried checking the box to see how much sugar is in it..nothing like that is listed on the box. I wonder if it was because it was in liquid form? Anymore I take cold medicine in tablet form and haven't had anything like this happen..it was truly awful..I even threw up and had trouble on the other end..pretty awful huh..when you're expecting to be feeling better!

I take diabetic cold medicines. They don't make me sick, even the liquids.

Good morning all! It sure is a cold one.  Waiting to see just how much snow we are going to get.  We are right on the line of the 3-7 and the lesser amount.  Personally, I hope we get the 7 inches...lol.  I have been trying to fight a bad chest cold, coughing, achy, chills. I have been just resting all weekend and taking Nyquil.  I seem a little better today,  not as weak feeling.   Well, everyone have a good day and bundle up.

Good morning everyone! We had a really good time at Cici's last night with the kids. Afterwards, we invited Bill's Mom & her bf to come by for apple crisp and ice cream (yep, both sugar-free) (we didn't invite the kids & grandkids since they were going home to eat birthday cake & ice cream...with 100% of the fat &  sugar added!). Jean wanted to know the 'story' behind the crisp. I think she was waiting to hear that it was left-over from an activity with my OH buddies. LOL! All I could say was 'no story..just had a bunch of apples I didn't want to go rotten on me'. lol. But then I did tell her why I had the rice krispie treats made..and gave her a few of them. She was happy...she got a story afterall! Haha! She has a large circle of friends that are all card players so she can definately relate to us having a large circle of friends who also have something in common (obesity, weight loss). Bill was planning on taking me to Steak & Ale tomorrow night but it looks like the snow may prevent that. Darn! It's been years since I've been there!!! With my belly, I won't risk driving in bad weather. I know my SUV has 4WD but it is the 'other guy' I have to worry about. I don't want to get hit and my intestines go into the steering wheel. Ah well, if we can't go tomorrow, maybe Wednesday or Friday. Can't on Thursday...we are meeting my MIL and her bf at Red Lobster. It's our usual place to go for Valentine's Day. Brenda & Floyd...Gail...any one else...care to join us at Steak & Ale (it's on south 31 on the southside...pretty much accross the screet from Gail!).  Ellen...Chance had RSV when he was a baby and they DID keep him in the hospital. I don't think that would be a bad idea for the twins especially given how small they are. Gail...Thank you for the e-card sweetie! I hope all these colds that are going around goes away! I hope you all get to feeling better soon. Other than a few errands & a few phone calls, we really don't have a whole lot planned today. You all have a terrific day! Sherri

Good morning, everyone. I hope that you are all well.  I haven't been on here for a few days since I got a different computer and my friend was switching over things from my old one to this one. I like this one much better. lol I am have to get use to some of the changes but I am already getting use to it and have only been using since late last night. I had some problems getting the Comcast internet into it but after 3 calls to them I finally got it in and working well.  Things here aren't to bad but Bill has a terrible cold and so as all of us wives know he is soon going to in ICU with it. No one ever gets a cold as bad as Bill. I just look at him and shake my head. Men! What do you do with them but love them? I have to go to the WLS nurse this morning. I dread going but might as well get it done.  I have no idea what is going on here weather wise. I do know that it cold out. Last check it was -1 out and didn't get much warmer yesterday either. I think that high yesterday was 3. The weather man just said that we are going to have 3-5 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. I am so tired of that white stuff. I was ready for spring before winter even got here. I had a busy day yesterday. I had church and then I started Lay Speaker School for 5 weeks. I am taking Visitation this time. I was bumped from my first choice since it was cancelled. I was sitting there yesterday why I was in there but then by the end of the class I knew why. I have to deal with a lot of wounds in my life. We are going through them to be able to relate to the people that we visit. I have a lot more of the wounds than I thought that I did before I got out the class. It is kind of scary how you tuck things that hurt you down and just let them live there for years.  I have to go the Y today. I didn't get there at all last week. I think that is why I am feeling so blah. I feel better when I do my work out. I am meeting Ella there this afternoon at 1:30.  I better get going. I hope that you all have a blessed day and stay safe and warm. I will check in later on and chat for a bit.  TaTa for now.
