i talked to melissa in dr inmans office today and she said we submitted to medicaid mid last week. she wasnt suprised that medicaid said they hadnt received it yet when i called last friday. she said i should call medicaid back about friday. at least now i know who to bug. how often is it ok to call and check on my progress??

Hi, I hope that things go well for you this time.  Just wanted to FYI you and let you know that I have Dr. Evanson for my surgeon and they turned my papers into UHC on 1/31/08.  They kept telling me that they did not have them when they actually did.  I called them today 2/11/08 and they approved me on 2/8/08.  However, I called everyday to check on it.  I documented who I talked to, what time I called and what they told me.  You might ask if they have a Care Coordinator that takes care of the reviews and see if you can get anywhere with that.  I live in Lafayette, IN also.  It would be nice to buddy up maybe.  If you need to vent let me know.  JLetson

Heidi- I am so glad to hear you have taken one more step toward approval.  I called the insurance company everyday.  And everyday they told me it could take 30days.  But it didn't it only took 2 weeks, so there is hope. jleston- congrats on your approval!  Any news on your date? Kim

Hi Kim, No I have not heard anymore on a date yet.  I am waiting on the approval papers to arrive to me and the Dr's office still.  The Dr's office said that as soon as they get it they will call me with a date.  Thanks for asking. Jacque

Heidi That is so exciting that it's been submitted. I would call atleast every other day and bug the heck out of them. Thats what I did
