Dr C wants me to see a liver specialist ASAP.

I heard from Marta this afternoon (faxed the copies of my labs from the 16th that I didnt have before and then the er labs on the 26th) and she said that she is sending me a prescription for Vitamin D and also that Dr. C is concerned and that I need to see a liver specialist. How do I look that up online ?? What is a liver specialist called so I can try and find someone in network for me. She told me to call my PCP and see if he will refer me since maybe there is some one local and Marta asked me numerous times to please let them know as soon as I know something. She sounded very concerned which is un nerving to me because my PCP's office should have received these labs the 28th and noone has bothered calling me (but I mentioned before our lab hadn't sent him copies of my labs before that either so I dont know if they actually got it). I have an appointment with my PCP in the morning and hope that I can get some idea of whats going on and a referrel.

Dr is is great!!! she does not worry but she takes things very seriously.. If she thinks you need a second opinion.. get one... She was on my back about my pain and scolded me when i waited a little to long but she went in and fixed the problem the very next day. Shes a peach!! Shes a keeper!! Don't worry... Let God. Good luck with your liver doc.here in indy I still cant get in to mine till march .and still get exstream pain on my right side..my enzyes were 790 in the hosp..My surgen is so mad they still cant get me in any sooner...they did move me from april till march when his office called....good luck

Okay..so you posted this on Monday..late afternoon..and it's wednesday now..well??? What's happening now? Any clearer on the info? What's wrong? I'm dying to know..

Well I went to my PCP today and he ordered a PTT, CBC, Amonia Level, Hepatitis Panel and Liver function test. I also have an appointment with Dr. Lacerda @ Springmill (103 & Meridian) on 3/28 at 8 am. If I'd gone to IU it would have been June. So far thats all I know right now.

I have mine march 7th same docs office at 8am but with dr.vinayek, hopefully they figure out what is happing with both of us....Do you hurt on your right side too?
