tuesday
I eat off the dessert plates not the main dinner plate.. The dessert plate is what I give my grandchildren to eat off of. Even that is to much..After 3 years I can eat 1 chicken breast and some mashed potatos. I notice I eat to much sometimes but depending on the type of protien I have with the meal is how fast I get full.. and the texture of the protien..And yep I still eat the protien first.. cept I dip my chicken in the mashed pots for moisture so they will slide down.. I usually dont eat a veg or a fruit unless it is as a snack by its self.. I concentrate on the protien still, every meal..

I do the same thing with the dessert plates. I fill it 1/3 with whatever the protein is of my meal 1/3 with vegetables and the last 1/3 with some kind of whole grain. I eat half the protein first half the veggies and then if I am still hungry I eat some of whatever the whole grain is.
I learned at my support group that eating off of smaller plates plays a psychological trick on yourself which is good because seeing a full plate (even though it's smaller) helps you fee more satisfied.
I've never heard of Pampered Chef before... what is it like?
Brooke,
You can checked out Pampered Chef products online. I love their stoneware collection, knives, bowls, oh...everything! lol! My pantry where I keep my cookware looks like a Pampered Chef showcase! LOL! At Cindy's party, I know I am ordering knives and another icing decorator. I 'loaned' my decorator to my daughter. Since it's been a month, thought I'd just let her keep it and get me a new one. I also have 2 sets of their knives but I like the style of the ones I have out in the rv better than the house ones so I need to get me a set of them for the house too. I think I'm going to check out steak knives too. Then I can clean out the drawer of all these knives I've accumulated over the years!

I am glad to know that I am not the only one with a PC kitchen....my best friend is a consultant, and I have been hosting parties for her for years! My last show, I earned enough to get over $500 in free products! Now that was a heck of a show! Of course I got every single piece of stoneware, and then I have 3 of the turntable utensil holders, and they are all stuffed full of PC goodies!!! I seriously own every single piece of the smaller items, and several of the larger items. The only things I don't have are the cookware, but that is next on my list.........I love the products. Now here is something for you to think about, Mariah, my 8 year old, has even held her very own PC party, and had several of her little friends over........she showed the decorating tool, and the kids had a blast decorating their own cookies. Of course, the children brought their mothers, and that was how she had a show of over $300 by herself! LOL!!!! I have to ask her if I can use some of "HER" PC stuff! I don't dare come between her and her PC stuff. She has already been asking about becoming a chef now, just like me, so I have tried to show her several things already, and now she is really becoming the little helper in the kitchen! Thank goodness for that!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

I'm really going to look into it! I love cooking. It seems like a waste sometimes though to go through all the work of cooking a nice meal for just me. When I do cook I make sure it's something that I like A LOT so I can enjoy the left overs for a long time afterwards!
I want a garlic press... I love garlic in everything!
Linda ..I think it's excellent that you are already thinking ahead to controlling your portion sizes. Something I did when I was to the stage where I could eat dinner within my first year was to get custard cups , sauce bowls etc..basically pretty looking dishes so when I ate I felt like I was actually eating and not just trying to get through slogging down the latest protein etc..making mealtimes more pleasurable but still keeping the science in there..you'll understand that statement at a much later date..LOL ..you will get to a point where you view food as a fuel and nothing else. Hard to believe but it will happen..but I don't think it is a permanent mind set..so when you're there make the most of it! Sorry for rambling..
