Sorry I've been MIA. Lots of stuff going on.
Hello my Indiana buddies. I have had a lot of things going on lately-and I admit I've been lurking a little...but not posting. sorry.
Well, as you can tell by my ticker- I'm pregnant. The only time in 10 years hubby and I are trying NOT to get pregnant and we do. I was just under 3 months post-op when we found out. We were really scared, but I'm sure God is in control. I refuse to see it as anything but a blessing.
I am no longer Obese. My BMI is 29.9 and I will probably continue to lose slowly until the second trimester. I have 44 lbs to reach goal and I am sure that will not happen until after the baby.
Mostly, I've just been trying to get in all of my protein, calories, and vitamins. I work out for about 20 min a day, but not hard and spend the rest of my time sleeping and having morning sickness. After, the initial shock- my hubby is over the moon and our son is happy too. We were kind of scared about telling him so early, but he had to know why I was sick and tired again. With my past health problems, he gets pretty nervous about that-poor kid.
Well, that's about all- which now doesn't seem like that much- I guess it was just wrapping my head around it all.
Hugs,
Angie
Congratulations on the new baby. Just listen to what the nuts and your doc says and you should be fine. My cousin got pregnant after GPS, but she was 7 months out. They just increased her calories and vitamins. I know it is not recommended at all, but you should do fine. Are you hoping for a girl since you have a boy?
We officially don't care whether it's a boy or girl, but I would LOVE a girl. I just always felt like I was missing out on something by not having that mother/daughter relationship with a duaghter of my own. That being said- we know we can try again for a girl if we have another boy....and I'm sure our son would be so excited. My surgeon and NUT aren't too worried...as long as I keep my numbers in.
Thanks,
Angie
