Hey sweetie, It sounds like a pretty rough next few months. Compare that to a lifetime of health though and those days will fly by quick. Just keep your eyes on the goal.  If there was any way that I could volunteer to help out with Quintin, I would hon. He is such a sweetie. I know physically though that I'm not able to. I do hope folks will volunteer to help out. If you aren't going to be able to make it on the 1st..or even if you are and you & Matt would like an opportunity for dinner with just Bill & I prior to the 3rd (my surgery), let me know. I know sometimes it is better when it's not a 'group' for you to be able to kinda unwind & get things off your chest. You know Bill & I will do all we can to help you & Matt, even if it is just to listen. We're good listeners. Sherri

Hi Jodi, You have such a great attitude about all of this.  I know that will make a HUGE difference in how well you heal.  I wish I lived closer so we could help out with the kids.   I do agree with eluca, though.  The more up front you are with Gage, the better he will be able to deal, not only with what he sees you going through but also, with whatever disappointments he has to deal with in relation to you not being able to attend things with/for him.  It is much easier to accept "not getting" something when you understand the "why" behind it.   He loves you and wants you to be healthy, so I'm sure he will understand when you can't be "right there".  He will know that you are with him in thought always because you will have given him enough information about what you are going through so that he can be with you in thought even when he is not "right there" with you too.  (I know that is kind of convoluted, but I hope you get the gist of it.) Good luck with the radiation and chemo.  At least you won't have to worry about shaving your legs for a while!   I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and if you think Gage would like it, maybe I can come get him and he can get together with my son once in a while.  They seemed to enjoy talking to each other at the chinese buffet a few weeks ago.  I'm on Floyd's contact list, so just give me a call.
