Well let's see it's been a little while since I posted and I just want to say hello to all.

Now my problem is that I can't seem to find food that agree's with me. The only thing I have been living on is lettuce and fruit. I haven't been able to get my protien in cause it just makes me so sick. I eat something and I'm laying on the floor or on the bed in a ball. If anyone could just give me some recipes with seafood  it would be great.

Oh and when can I have  Rice or Chinese food????

Thanks in advance.....

Julie

You can't handle cheese sticks and milk?? I lived on that for the first couple months I was out. On the floor rolling in pain maid me think of 2 things first my gall bladder attacks and second was right before I had Dr C go back in and seperate my intestines.. seems she just filled up the jamerson space. the empty space left when they do the surgery where your intestines have enough room to get kinked. The pain almost immediantly stopped. Just a thought..  You need your protien..and you MUST have fluids. Angies LOVES Shrimp ****tail.. she hasnt been on board for a long time.. Best wishes, Linda Kay

Beans beans and more beans.  Cook in chicken broth until they are like refried beans. Why have rice it is an empty carbs.  Look for whole grains about 10 months or more out.  Check with your Dr. NUT they should have a food plan for you.  Sorry St V's patient have the infamous yellow sheet that gives foods you can eat at different stages.  First 3 months is not more then instant potato and clear broth with a protein supplement.

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Julie, If you are in pain when you eat, you might want to call your doctor.  You could be having gall bladder trouble, an ulcer, just my own opinion. My nuts told me to concentrate on the protein and not to worry as much on the food.  Have you tried yogurt, applesauce, cottage cheese, SF puddings, cheese sticks?  What kind of protein supplement do you have?  Try 4 cups 1% milk and mix it with 1 cup of dry powder milk and add some SF jello mix or SF chocolate syrup...that mixture is what you need to drink every day and that is I think 65 grams of protein or something like that.  That is if you can tolerate milk. Good luck

Start with some egg drop soup.  Easy on the tummy and lots of protein in the eggs.

I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...

Beans are my best friend.  I could eat them at every meal.  They go through the tummy easily and have good protein.   I also have a great recipe for Seafood Enchiladas but I don't know how you'll do with the tortilla.  Here it is... Seafood Enchiladas 1 can Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup 1 small onion chopped crab meat (real or imitation) chopped.  I just buy a small package at WalMart and use the whole thing.  I'm not sure how many ounces it it.  After it's chopped it's about 2 cups. 2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese 10 inch flour tortillas 1 cup milk In a skillet, saute the onions in some butter until clear and soft.  Add the can of soup and mix.  Take out half of the onion, soup mixture and put in a bowl.  Add crabmeat to the bowl.  Take flour tortillas and fill with crab, soup mixture.  Place seam down in a sprayed casserole dish.  Add milk to skillet with the remaining soup and onions.  Stir well and pour over tortillas.  Cover with cheese.  Bake in a 375 degree oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.   I plop sour cream on top of each one after they are plated up.  A good slice of avocado is yummy with it as well. These are really good.  I sometimes make up some refried beans with cheese on them to serve along side. Hope it helps. Jacqui
