Surgery Date 3/04/08
Ok I am having Lapband surgery on the 4th of March. I am way nervous. I have not had any surgery in my adult life. I am 311 pounds with a goal of 175.

Don't worry one bit. It's perfectly normal to be nervous at this point, I think everyone starts to question if they're making the right decision. But as long as you're committed to making the changes, exercising, and following up with your surgeon for fills, you'll do fine. Walk as much as possible after surgery, it helps a lot with the gas pains and prevents constipation.
I'm 3 months out and feel great, this was the best thing I've ever done for myself.

Was the best thing I ever did... was uncomfortable but.. worth every bit!!!! Anyone close to hold y our hand??? We are here for ya we got some great guys on our team!! and quite a few great women!!
My goal was anything under a size 20... I had been big most of my adult life... now I want to be thin during my senile years!!

Welcome to the board! Being nervous is the most natural thing in the world and we all go through it. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just listen & do all your doctor & diteician tells you to do and you will be amazed at how well though pounds just go bye-bye!
