Fellow Elfsters....

I have heard from several people that they have not recieved anything at all from their secret Elf. I am hoping that this is just an oversight. Please, remember what you had promised to do by signing up..and that is to remember your person at LEAST on a monthly basis. I have also had it suggested that I NOT have each draw last a year. That way, if someone gets an elf that isn't very attentive for the first 6 months of the year, perhaps they'd have better luck for the 2nd half. I think based on how many people have not recieved anything at all, that is probably a very good idea. So....I will be setting up a new draw to being july 1st. I'll send out emails as that time gets closer. Please note: If you aren't on the Hoosier Directory, you will not be invited to participate. If you are one of the ones who are in this to recieve and not to reciprocate as well, you will not be invited to participate. I don't mean to be a b*tch about it, but it should be fair for those who do play by the rules. Sherri

Sherri...just wanted to let you know that we support you on this.  You are not being a B***h...just trying to be fair on everyone's behalf. I appreciate that you have taken the time to organize this!  

Sherri I appreciate all you are doing for the secret elf.  With all of your and Bill's medical problems at this time. you should not have to worry about  members not being responsible for something they agreed to participate in.  I do agree on the 6 month draw so that if somebody wants out, they have that opportunity.  This can be a lot of fun if everybody that signed up would cooperate. Hi Sherri,    I also appreciate ALL you do for us- and especially with all of the issues you both have had lately.    I have sent something to my person- just never heard if they got it or not. Also, I haven't seen this person on the OH site posting in quite some time-maybe just too busy??? I hope that they are ok.     Anyway, take care, and know you are doing a GREAT JOB!!! I echo what everyone else said. I also agree that 6 months is a good idea instead of a year. Plus it gives us time to mix things up. Will we get new people too??

it is a bit of a bummer when you are a good elf to someone else and never hear from your own elf. i haven't heard from mine either. :( so i think a july switch would be fun.

Although I have gotten a card from my Elf and the one I am taking care of has heard from me several times.. Yea, I agree with you.. While I do enjoy being and recieving from the ELF program I would end the list of people joining in June and have the new draw start July 1st. The people who didnt get on the list in time this year will be able to jump in and the ones who decided it was just not what they hoped it would be could opt out. It is a shame as adults we have to police a program like this. And no, you are not being a bi;!@. Don't even think so.. SO Lurkers... if this is you who decided not to be part of the program you signed up to be in..  and for those who took it seriously I must have really turned the one off I bought for last year... she hasn't posted since before I sent her the 25.00 Bed Bath and Beyond certificate for Christmas last year..Not even to say thank you for what I did do...her computer must be broke.. Everyone... Thank you for backing me up on this. If you haven't recieved anything from your person by March 3rd, please drop me an email so I can remove them from the invite list for the next draw. Yes, each draw, you will recieve a new name to buy for as well as a new person will draw your name. The person you are buying for now (or should be), continue to do so through/until the last day of June. Remember that it is done at random...so hopefully, you will not recieve the same name twice. The new draw will take place July 1st...which means you will have to 'accept' the invitation ~mid June...so watch for the invite in your email. Again, if you are not on the Hoosier Directory, you will NOT recieve an invitation and I will not be posting the link on this board. Anyone who pops up a week later and says 'I didn't read the email' or whatever is going to have to wait until January 1, 2009 to participate. Sherri ps....Linda...you are not alone. In December, I had sent my person a $50 floral arrangement and a $50 candle arrangement. One for Christmas, one for her surgery anniversary. Both, with my name signed to the card. Not one word. I had sent her an email to see if she recieved them since according to 1800flowers.com, she had. No reply. All I was looking for was a 'yes, I got them' or 'no, I didn't get anything'...not she couldn't do that for me. I haven't seen her on the boad since that time. And no, she isn't participating this time (neither is yours).

I agree as well as everyone else.........thank you so much, Sherri.  I have recieved a couple nice cards from my elf......and they are so adorable.  Thanks again for working on this to keep everyone in line!
