Is this normal?
I am currently 10 weeks post surgery and have lost 70 pounds so far. I am now losing about five pounds per week on average--is this too little, too much or just right (and no I am not Goldilocks!)? Sometimes it seems like ALOT, but other times five pounds seems like too little especially since I lost 19 pounds my first week!
How much is everyone else losing per week, on average?
Thanks!
I know it's hard to do but you can't really base your loss on others because different things contribute to different results. Starting weight, etc.. I can't really say about my case at 10 weeks out because I had been on TPN so long that my loss had slowed a bit then.
I am 7 months out and AVERAGE 2-3 lbs a week (even though I seem to lose it all in 1-2 weeks the past few months) and so an average of 8-12 lbs a month still.
Congrats on the 70 lbs! It is really hard to answer that as everyone loses at a different rate. People that are heavier tend to lose more quicker then others. I am 5 mo out and have lost 82 lbs. I think 5 lbs a week sounds pretty good, but if you are concerned or just curious call your doc/NUT and ask them. They are the best ones to consult for individual results. Good luck and keep up the good work!
