Hiccups and puking
Soooooo....for some reason, my lunch is not sitting well in the pouch. I had a lunch meeting and ate something I've had before...chicken salad and cottage cheese. I've puked about 10 times now and each time I finish I get the hiccups for about 2 minutes. I am not enjoying this! Any idea what's happening?
Love you guys!
Jacqui
Sweetie,
Did you eat faster than normal or not chew well enough? If the chicken isn't ground well, my pouch rebels. I have been told that you can use 2 tbs. of meat tenderizer in a 4 oz. glass of water, drink it slowly, and that will help if something is stuck- when I get something stuck, thats what I do. I tell you, it isn't fun, but it does help. Are you having chest pains also?? I know our pouches are all differant- just might be too much protien at one time, too!Anyhoo, I just hope you feel better soon, gal!

Hi Jacqui,
Have you considered food poisoning? I don't know where you got the chicken salad, but I know chicken tends to be the best source of food poisoning. It tends to hit hard and fast, so if you started throwing up within about 30 minutes of eating, that may be it. HOpe you get to feeling better soon.

I think I had a mixture of all above. I must have eaten too fast and not chewed enough. I really think I had something stuck because the last time I threw up it felt like it finally emptied out my stomach. Everything was fine after that. I took it easy for dinner and just had some chicken broth and crackers. I feel much, much better today.
Thanks for all you support and advice. I'll try to take it slow and chew, chew, chew. I wonder if that's why I'm having so much trouble with meat. Maybe I just don't chew it well enough. I'll have to experiment and see.
Oodles of love,
Jacqui
