Happy Saturday!

Well, it is 1 am in the morning, and since I am still up, I figured that I would start the morning thread.  I have the house to myself for the evening, and just can't sleep without everyone here.  Oh well Hope everyone has a good weekend.  I have to work one of my days off, and now they are scheduling us for more days.  As long as they are willing to give the overtime, I am going to actually take it! LOL Have a great weekend. I will talk to you all again soon! 

Good morning all! I am at work this am.  Working a 12 hr shift today.  We are having EMT class here today so I will probably sit in on that class to get some in-service hours.  Other then that nothing much going on. I think it is suppose to be a little nicer this weekend, like maybe in the 60's or close to it. Hope everyone has a great weekend and those who are going to the dinner today...have fun!

Good morning everyone! Tiffany is coming over to pick me up. We're going to take the boys to get their hair cut. That has been a 'mamaw' thing every since each of their first haircuts. Right now, I just can't do it by myself so she's gonna be there to help me. I'm going to get mine trimmed up too (which means I got together with Miss Clairol last night ...it turned out more of a light brown this time instead of red...and with the same shade  as last time). Afterwards, we'll probably do lunch. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tonight! I am doing my best to keep my mind off of Monday and tonight is definately going to help! Bill asked me yesterday if we were going to get together with anyone for dinner Sunday night...lol. So...Brenda, Floyd...what do you think? Where sounds good to you? Anyone else? I haven't heard back about the rest of the tests yet. I just have to hold on to the fact that the wbc's were acceptable enough for surgery. I don't know if anyone would be in Dr. Greist's office today or not. Don't you love Community East's interpretation of 'STAT' though? Do the tests quick (well..within 48 hours is quick for them..lol!) but since on the results. I think anyone could understand why I just love St. Vincent!   I had put in this huge paragraph about Dr. Brooks and the whole thing of being star struck by seeing surgeons. I didn't want to offend anyone so I deleted it. I'll just say this on the subject..be your own medical advocate! Don't get star stuck and do whatever you're told to do..be sure you understand the why's! And there is far more to being a GOOD doctor than being 'cute'!  I would have rather had one that gave a d*&^ that I was in a coma in the same hospital her office is in.  Time to get ready for Mamaw time! Yay I'm soo excited to see everyone this evening. :) How exciting. I hear theres going to be a big crowd. Thats neat. I hope everyones doing well.. :) I'm still having a few issues but it's improving again so I can deal with it. :) Well that is it for now I'll chat with yas later. :)

Good Morning Indiana, I have been up awhile. We are having family in today! My father- in-law and his wife ( my mother-in-law ,has passed) are coming over. They do not come into town often. I am fixing a nice dinner for them and they were wanting to see the house! Since they haven't been here since we have come back home from the fire, I thought this would be a good time to visit! Looking forward to some socializing with the family! Not much else going on today! Mark and I may try to be at the dinner tonight, but not sure how long company will be here and since they are from out of town, we shall see! If I can't make it- hope everyone has a blast and for Sherri and Jodi, please know that I continue to keep BOTH of you and your families in my thoughts and prayers! Hope to see ya tonight, though! I also have the house to myself today, my husband's working all day.  I've already cleaned out part of my "storage closet" where I've stashed old clothes I'd gotten too big for in the past, and found several things I can wear again.  I also cleared out several items that are too big now ... off to Goodwill!  No need to keep those anymore, just one pair of favorite pants that I'm keeping as my "before" pants.  I just finished some grocery shopping, picked up food for the pets, and have some laundry going.  Yeah it's a real exciting day around here!  I also have to comment about the celebrities thread ... it makes me laugh.  But not at the people who posted in the thread, so please don't think I'm giving you a hard time!  When I was waiting to see Dr. Evanson last week, I was chatting with his front office staff.  They were curious to hear what people say about him on OH.  When I answered that many people comment on how "cute" he is, they just rolled their eyes and said something about "not if you work with him."  Clearly they were good-natured about it, I took it to mean that working alongside someone day in and out takes the shine off them.  Doctors are people (and patients) too, afterall. We have dinner plans with neighbors tonight, but I hope Sherri, Bill and everyone else have a great time tonight at the Paragon!

ack!!! could i stop being sick? this is my fourth or fifth round of flu/cold/bronchitis/some kind of nasty respiratory infection. i've been fighting a fever for over 2 days, and i'm just not going to mention the stuff coming out of my lungs. i'm sore all over, and i can't talk (again). totally sucks. i need to get better asap. my grandmother's funeral is sunday and monday. i have no idea how i'm going to make it through the next two days. the funeral directors are very nice, so maybe i can go lay down somewhere tomorrow for a bit. anyway, have a good time at paragon tonight, and good luck with your medical procedures this week, girls! you'll do great.

Good afternoon everyone.  It's me!!!  Having a good day so far.  Floyd took me shopping and I bought a new suit.  We are really looking forward to the meet and greet tonight.  We always enjoy spending time with all our OH buddies and are looking forward to meeting some new ones tonight too.  For those that can't make it tonight, we'll miss you.  There seems to be a lot of events coming up so hopefully you will be able to make some of them. Sherri...we need to try something different tomorrow.  With going to the west side tonight, how far can we get Bill to travel tomorrow? Jessica...Hold off on going to Goodwill just yet.  The clothing exchange is just a month away and those clothes can probably help a fellow OH friend.  If you are not going to be able to make the exchange, let me know and maybe Floyd and I can take them for you.  We live in Lawrence so we aren't too far from you.
