DR. HUSE QUALIFICATIONS ???

Just wondering if anyone has had RNY bypass with DR. HUSE, and would share your experience with him and how your surgery went  Thank you,   A BIT Nervous

I had RNY with Dr. Huse August of 2005.  I had no complications at all.  I spent 2 nights in the hospital and was back to work after one week.  So far the only complication I have had is that I am iron deficient.  No big deal - just have to take a daily supplement. Dr. Huse pioneered the weight loss surgery in Indiana.  He has been doing this 20+ years.  My surgery took 1 1/2 hours and he told me it went so well he wished he had filmed it. I have lost 200 pounds so far.  I would love to be down another 100 pounds when I go back for my annual check up in August. Also, this past August I was having severe abdominal pains.  I called Dr. Huse and he recommended I go to the ER.  I was sure something had went wrong with the RNY.  Turns out it was my gallbladder.  One of his partners removed it and I went home the same day. Are you considering surgery at St. Vincents?  I highly recommend them.  They were great with both surgeries I had. Lisa

I had Doc Huse.  My surgery was 9/27/2007 and I have had NO complications. I was home in 2 days and I had open rny. He pioneered the surgery in Indiana  and I HIGHLY recommend him. I have lost 90 pounds so far and I go April 2 for my 6 month.  Our personalities clicked! Dr Huse did my open RNY in August of 2004.  I don't remember how long the surgery took but I was in the hospital for three days.  Had no complications at all.  He is very good and listens to anything you may have to say unlike some doctors who rush through their appointments.  I recommend him to anyone interested in the surgery.   

Dr Huse Is wonderful, he took super good care of me. I needed a G-Tube, he took the time to show my daughter how and what she should to keep that area clean, and packed. He would talk to her and me. You leave his office knowing what you need to do to stay healthy.    Hugs & Blessings, Gail

Hi Dave, I seen Dr Huse today. He is just awesome. He thought I looked tired so he ordered some blood tests. He is a little quite but once he gets to know you he  will laugh with you. I was worried how my G-tube was going to come out, he teased me and said he would just tie the the tube to door and just close it. LOL . It was already out while we were talking. I just love him.
